Starting with his damage output, Lingyang for being a five-star DPS, underperforms when compared to other DPS characters in the game. His ability to go up in the air during his ultimate skill makes him hard to control for the players. Players can face difficulty hitting enemies and missing hitboxes while being airborne, and being in the air also limits the ability to dodge enemy attacks. Due to these reasons, Lingyang becomes a challenging unit for the players and with underwhelming damage when compared to its other DPS counterparts, only players who are willing to take on the challenge or the ones who are attracted by his playstyle will go for him.

2 Baizhi

Baizhi is a support type unit in Wuthering Waves that can fit into almost any team composition, making her an excellent choice for the players. Sanhua’s ultimate also has a low cost and pairing it with her ability to create an ample amount of energy, her potential as a burst DPS exceeds more than what was expected.

She can also switch her role and switch to a playstyle where she can sustain the team by actively damaging the enemies on field. Utilizing her basic attack oriented kit, she opens more options for the players to choose a role for her. However, in order to properly utilize her properly on the field, players have to time her heavy basic attack to detonate at the right moment when the cursor falls in the ‘Frostbite’ area. Failing to do so results in lowering her damage output and her energy regeneration.
