After completing the “Still Missing,” you’ll unlock more gameplay features and story quests in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom. “Lands of the Goddesses” requires Zelda to fix the giant rifts in Eldin Volcano, Holy Mount Lanayru, and Faron Wetlands, and receive the sanctions from the goddesses of Hyrule. In doing so, you’ll learn more about the rifts and the swordsman, Link. Much like “Searching for Everyone” main quest, you’ll get to choose where to go first for “Lands of the Goddesses.” If this is your first time playing Echoes of Wisdom, then you might want some tips and a list of recommended Echoes before continuing your adventure.

Where to Go First?

“Lands of the Goddesses” (and “Rescuing the Hero Link”) will automatically be assigned to the Adventure Log after you’ve spoken to the King and received Zelda’s Royal Travel Attire. Entering each region will unlock three story quests that you’ll need to complete for “Lands of the Goddesses,” much like you had for the “Searching for Everyone” main quest:

Eldin is located to the northwest of Hyrule Castle Town/north of Kakariko Village. Holy Mount Lanayru is north of Hyrule Castle Town. Finally, the Faron Wetlands is located in southeast Hyrule/east of Suthorn Village. Echoes of Wisdom doesn’t push you to compete the rifts in a specific order. However, it’s recommended you fix Eldin Volcano’s rift first, or at least unlock Swordfighter Mode’s Bomb ability in the Eldin Volcano Still World. You should save Holy Mount Lanayru last, since the harsh climate requires a heat buff (Warm Smoothie), and the dungeon’s puzzles can be trickier than the other two.

In “The Rift on Eldin Volcano,” you’ll need to assist Darston, the leader of the Gorons, in locating the giant rift and saving the remaining villagers. This one is straightforward and will mark the objective on your map after you speak with Darston. You’ll also get useful Echoes in Eldin, such as the Fire Keese and Fire Wizzrobe.

In “A Rift in the Faron Wetlands,” you’ll need to find a way to get rid of the “black thorns” that have appeared in and around Scrubton, the home of the Deku Scrubs. Unfortunately, one of the story events in Faron Wetlands will result in Zelda temporarily losing her equipment. During this time, you won’t be able to summon Echoes or fast-travel.

Finally, “Rift on Holy Mount Lanayru” involves climbing the frigid mountains to reach the summit, where the giant rift awaits. You will need the effects of a Warm Smoothie, or you can use Tri’s Bind ability to carry a Brazier Echo or an Ignizol to prevent Zelda from taking damage. The downside to using the Brazier is that it can be broken by certain Echoes (Platboom) or enemies.

After you’ve closed the rifts and received all three sanctions from the Goddesses, a cutscene will play, and Zelda will wake up in her room. This will end “Lands of the Goddesses” and start “The Prime Energy and Null” quest.

Things to Do During “Lands of the Goddesses”

“Lands of the Goddesses” takes up the second half of Echoes of Wisdom. This is a good time to revisit Jabul Waters and Gerudo Desert to see if there are any new quests you can do. Noteworthy ones are “The Zappy Shipwreck” and “Impa’s Gift.” You’ll also be able to battle optional bosses to receive Heart Pieces. “Impa’s Gift” is important if you want to unlock Zelda’s horse. Doing so will allow you to partake in the Flag Races at Hyrule Ranch, which is required for an automaton side quest (“Performance Artist!”).

You’ll also be able to change Zelda’s outfit now that she’s no longer wanted. There are several outfits you can get for Zelda, some of which have special abilities. You can also scan a Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf amiibo to unlock exclusive outfits.

You should also start learning Lv. 3 Echoes and the Lynel Echo during “Lands of the Goddesses.” You can find the Darknut Lv. 3 in a cave east of Scrubton. This is a powerful Echo that can shake off most attacks from enemies. The Lynel is one of the strongest Echoes in the game, but summoning him requires 6 triangles of Tri’s power. You can find the Lynel in the Eternal Forest by following the hoof tracks. There’s also the Lv. 3 Lizalfos in a cave north of the Heart-Shaped Lake in Faron Wetlands.

You’ll also notice that smaller rifts have cropped up around Hyrule. These are optional and you can complete Echoes of Wisdom without having to do them. If you’re looking to max Tri’s level and lower the cost for some of your stronger Echoes, then you should look around Hyrule and start getting rid of those rifts.
