New Steam Game Releases to ‘Very Positive’ Reviews

A newly-released Steam game earns ‘Very Positive’ reviews from users and is earning high praise from critics as well.

Streets of Rogue 2 is an upcoming Steam game that will be out sometime in 2024. It’s a sandbox title with a randomly generated world and a top-down perspective that allows gamers to wreak havoc in its world. While its art style is more cartoonish than the first games in the GTA franchise, it has a pretty similar vibe. Street of Rogue 2’s objective is to offer gamers an unpredictable, system-driven open-world experience with lots of freedom, blending the roguelike genre with immersive sim and RPG elements. According to the game’s description, the players will have a vast arsenal of weapons, be able to steal and drive several vehicles around, and use different traits to accommodate unique playstyles.

At the moment, it’s still early to know whether Streets of Rogue 2 will feature among the best Steam games, though, as it’s not out yet, and there’s no demo available. The first title in the series, however, has Overwhelmingly Positive reviews on Steam, with 97% of over 14,000 gamers approving it. When it’s finally released in 2024, Streets of Rogue 2 will support nine languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Korean, Russian, Simplified Chinese, and Japanese.

While Steam continues to be one of the top platforms to play new indie games, its products recently began to cost a lot more in some regions. Steam recently ditched regional prices in Argentina and Turkey due to the high inflation levels in these countries. Now, all prices in the two regions are set in U.S. dollars and then converted to the local currency. In the case of some games, this increased their price by a lot, with titles like Civilization 6 going up by 4,300%, for example. So, it’s expected that Streets of Rogue 2, which does not have an official price yet, will also be impacted by the price changes for gamers based in these countries.
