  • Overwatch 2 player creates cursed video of Hammond mimicking other tanks’ Highlight Intros.
  • The video showcases abnormal body proportions and creepy facial expressions of Hammond.
  • Unique customization options in Overwatch 2 make each player’s character stand out, even with matching skins.

An Overwatch 2 player has created a cursed video that shows Hammond doing other tanks’ Highlight Intros. Each Overwatch 2 hero features their own set of Highlight Intros based on their unique traits, and this video shows why some should be limited to their character.

When Overwatch 2 was released, it included many of the cosmetics from its predecessor, like Emotes, Highlight Intros, and Skins. On launch, the sequel provided its own unique offerings, with more being added every season. Beyond the cosmetic options from the original game, there are also Overwatch 2 Charms, Souvenirs, and Jade weapon skins. The wide variety of customization options makes it rare for any two players using the same character to match in every way. Players may match the same skin as another, but they likely have a different Charm or Emote equipped to make them stand out. One gamer has made a cursed video that makes Hammond perform the Highlight Intros of other Tanks.

Reddit user CF2lter recently shared a clip of their attempt at Hammond mimicking each Tank hero’s Highlight Intros. The video begins with Overwatch 2‘s D.Va intros which immediately highlight the cursed nature of the project as Hammond is depicted with abnormal body proportions. This gets even more cursed when the Doomfist intros are shown as his hands clip through the Wrecking Ball and his fingers look like bizarre tentacles when one arm is fully outstretched. Some intros are pure nightmare fuel like Doomfist’s Intimidation, Mauga’s Cha-Cha ‘n Gunny, and Winston’s Excuse Me. Contrastly, Mauga’s Breezy, Doomfist’s Get Down, and Junker Queen’s Throne provide some comic relief in the cursed video.

What Makes This Overwatch 2 Video So Cursed?

Beyond his arms and legs being far longer than his standard counterpart, this Hammond has creepy facial expressions that try to match the tanks from each Highlight Intro. As there are over sixty Tank-based Highlight Intros, this clip only focuses on some of them, with Reinhardt being noticeably underrepresented. Wrecking Ball also features seven of his own Highlight Intros which would look a lot different with the body proportions shown in this video. With every character having at least four Highlight Intros to choose from, this idea could be applied to Overwatch 2 Support and Damage heroes as well. Based on the entertainment value, other heroes could be shrunk to Hammond’s size to portray an entirely different angle of the concept.

Given that Hammond is an anthropomorphic hamster, it’s unusual to see him elongated so much. As Blizzard continues to update Overwatch 2, more Highlight Intros will likely be added, especially as new characters are released.
