Rumor: Genshin Impact Leak Reveals Estimated Full Size of Natlan

A reliable source has revealed an educated estimate of Natlan’s full size in Genshin Impact, taking into account its future map expansions and the terrain modified in Version 5.0. The world of Teyvat has played an important role in establishing the charm and overall appeal of Genshin Impact, as its borders have continued to grow steadily over the years. From four-leaf sigils to underwater content, the open world in Genshin Impact evolves with each new region, and Natlan is set to continue this tradition with its Saurians.

While players already know the size of Natlan in Version 5.0, the region is expected to receive three map expansions by Version 6.0. The first of these will be centered around a large volcano in Version 5.1, while Version 5.2 will take the Traveler to the ruins of old Natlan. No current information is known about the final Natlan map expansion, but it is estimated to either arrive in Version 5.5 or Version 5.7.

A majority of these leaks have come from the suitably named Uncle Teyvat, whose credibility in Fontaine has rarely been called into question. Based on the terrain layout that extends past the playable borders in Version 5.0, Uncle Teyvat shared a picture that overlays the new terrain blocks from Version 5.1 and Version 5.2 on top of the content available in the current beta. Relative to Natlan’s grand arena, the volcano will extend the region towards the southwest, while the ruins of old Natlan will be located in the northwest. In terms of how it measures up against other regions, Natlan is expected to be much closer to Sumeru in size, as Saurians in Genshin Impact will allow players to cover great distances with ease.

Natlan Could Be As Big As Sumeru In Genshin Impact After Its Map Expansions

As a region of Tevyat, Natlan is composed of six major tribes, and players will have the opportunity to learn the culture of each during their stay in the Pyro Nation. The Dendro, Geo, and Hydro tribes will be featured in Version 5.0, while Version 5.1 will introduce the Pyro and Anemo tribes, who call the tall mountains of Natlan their home. Lastly, Version 5.2 will see the debut of the Electro tribe, who will impart the final Saurian form to the Traveler. Though it remains to be seen which Natlan characters in Genshin Impact belong to each tribe, it should be noted that their elements rarely align.

As for Version 5.5 and beyond, a possible location for the final zone in Natlan could be the Mare Jivari, an ashen wasteland that lies to the far west of Teyvat and is technically a domain of Natlan in its own right. That being said, a Mondstadt map expansion has long been rumored as a bridge zone for Snezhnaya, and given that the Cryo Nation is releasing in Version 6.0, it’s quite likely that Version 5.5 will instead take players to Dornman Port.
