Narcos is one of the three new levels in the Ready or Not Home Invasion DLC, and it thrusts players into an emergency in a quaint neighborhood involving one of the LSPD’s officers. The map features a mix of both long and short sightlines with cramped interiors and messy exteriors, challenging the players’ reflexes, awareness, and perception.

This map doesn’t take as long as some of the base Ready or Not missions, but depending on how suspect AI behaves, it can prove to be a difficult one. Here’s a guide covering all the Narcos objectives (including soft objectives) as well as some general tips and loadout suggestions.

Ready or Not: 7 Tips and Tricks for Beginners

To succeed in Ready or Not, you need to be alert at all times. Here are some handy tips and tricks for players to use in their next mission.

All Objectives in Ready or Not Narcos Mission

The Narcos mission brief in Ready or Not

Narcos is a tricky mission, and compared to the Dorms level in Ready or Not, the suspects here are much more dangerous. Here, players will be facing members of the Los Locos gang, and not only are they armed with modified assault rifles, but they also have body armor. Plus, players will have to sweep multiple houses and clear the outdoor areas as well. The main objectives here are:

  • Bring Order to Chaos: Arrest or Neutralize All Suspects
  • Rescue All Civilians: Restrain All Civilians
  • Locate the Informant: Search for Mike Esperanza, an undercover LSPD agent

Informant Location

The informant in Ready or Not's Narcos mission

This objective makes Narcos a bit more dynamic than most other missions. The informant players are searching for is an undercover cop whose cover has been blown, and he can appear in different areas of the map. The squad will need to thoroughly search the map to find him — the informant will be shouting for help, so make sure to pay attention.

The informant can and will crawl around the map. Take care not to accidentally shoot him.

Ready or Not Narcos Soft Objectives

Spotting soft objectives in RoN can be confusing, but the ones in the Narcos map are relatively easy to spot. The soft objectives you need for this mission are:

  • Find and report hidden LSPD documents
  • Find and report two crime scenes

The first two soft objectives are inside the first house that players enter through the default starting point. Inspect the bloody chair in the living room to secure the first objective. Then, go through the door opposite the chair, and look for a desk with a computer on it.

After securing these objectives, head outside and search the nearby houses. The objective you’re looking for is a dead dog in the kitchen.

Rifle with light armor loadout in RoN

Since suspects here are armored, we recommend bringing AP ammo to maximize stopping power. Rifles are the best choice if you’re looking to put armed suspects down, but if you want to get an S-rank in any Ready or Not mission, it’s best to use non-lethal equipment. For this mission, we recommend bringing CS gas and pepperball launchers.

The outdoor areas will likely give players the most trouble. Suspects are harder to spot here due to the color grading and, at some angles, sunlight might obscure the players’ vision. CS gas is very helpful here — not only do gas clouds cover more ground than flashbangs and stingers, but they also linger for a while, giving the team extra time to reposition without having to worry about certain angles.

Here are a few tips for the Narcos mission:

  • Before entering an uncleared house, break a few windows and lob some grenades inside.
  • Have someone bring a beanbag shotgun and let them take point when breaching houses.
  • Have someone with a pepperball launcher take point when exiting houses.
  • Wear either Steel or Ceramic armor plates since suspects are armed with rifles.
