New Cards in the Hellfire Gala Season
The new Season in Marvel Snap introduces three new cards: Sebastian Shaw, Havok, and Selene. Of these, the first one will be obtainable through Season Pass. The other two join the main roster via Spotlight Cache releases.
Sebastian Shaw (Season Pass)
As a passive card, Sebastian Shaw is a 3-Cost 4-Power who gains +2 Power when you give him a permanent boost. For instance, if you hit him with Forge—which gives the next card +2 Power—Sebastian Shaw will end up gaining +4 Power (two additional points coming from his passive ability).
- Release Date: December 5, 2023
Havok (Spotlight Cache)
A 2-Cost 0-Power Series 4 card, Havok is a new candidate for ramp decks. After you play him, you will get one less Energy for the next round, but Havok will earn +4 Power for each round he remains in the game.
- Release Date: December 19, 2023
Blob (Spotlight Cache)
With a Cost of 6 and Power of 4, Blob is a new powerhouse in the On Reveal archetype. When he hits the board, he merges with all the other cards in the deck and absorbs their Power. The only catch is that he cannot be moved.
- Release Date: December 12, 2023
Selene (Spotlight Cache)
Selene is a 1-Cost On Reveal card with -1 Power. When she’s in the game, both players’ lowest-Power cards get afflicted by -3. Based on this synergy, she seems to be a good fit for junk decks—especially now that Annihilus is in the metagame.
- Release Date: December 26, 2023

New Features in the Hellfire Gala Season
With the December Season, Marvel Snap received four new gameplay mechanics: Albums, Emotes, Locations, and the Deck Builder. Here’s a quick rundown of everything.
Albums
Starting with the Hellfire Gala, Albums will become an optional aspect of Collections. Through this feature, you can collect specific variants of cards for a prize. Each Album consists of 12 empty slots that you must complete. However, the rewards are on multiples of three, meaning you will unlock goodies for collecting three, six, nine, and twelve cards.
Deck Builder
Deck Builder is an auto-filler feature for Collections. With this option, players can ask Marvel Snap’s AI to create or complete a deck. The AI will use current metagame data as well as the player’s roster to compile the most effective lineup.
Emotes
A collection of new Emotes will hit Marvel Snap in December. You can unlock some of them by completing Album challenges.
Locations
Two new locations are included in the Hellfire Gala Season: White Palace and Castle Blackstone.
All Events in the Hellfire Gala Season
Marvel Snap will host a Twitch Drop event as well as a traditional Shop Takeover for the month of December. However, a new tournament called Conquerors will also take place during the Season.
- Twitch Drops: Starting from December 20, you can watch Marvel Snap streamers on Twitch to earn Boosters, Credits, and mystery Variants. (The event wraps up on January 2.)
- Shop Takeover: On December 11, the first Shop Takeover will offer the Hellfire Gala variants of Bishop, Black Panther, Captain America, Doctor Doom, Jean Grey, Magik, Moon Knight, Rogue, Scarlet Witch, and She-Hulk.
- Conqueror (Winter Battle Royale): Hosted by Marvel Snap’s top creators, Conquerors is a Battle Royale event featuring a showdown among 16 top players in a two-stage competition. By voting for your favorite competitor, you stand a chance to win prizes if they emerge victorious in the competition.
