Animal Well: Where to Go After Firecracker

The Firecracker is the first item that players will collect in Animal Well, and it makes it possible to access brand-new areas. That said, some fans may be confused about where they should go after obtaining the item. This walkthrough is here to alleviate that confusion, and it will guide players to the Bubble Wand, another useful item, in Animal Well.

While this walkthrough will lead players to the Bubble Wand, they can pursue the Disc immediately after collecting the Firecracker if that is their preference.

Animal Well: After Firecracker Walkthrough

Go to the Statue Room

After stocking up on Firecrackers, players should drop through the opening on the left side of the room and then travel to the right. Players will now find themselves in a room with a hostile blue face, and they can make it disappear by deploying a Firecracker. Fans of indie video games will then be free to climb the platforms on the right side and exit the room near the top-right corner.

Players will now perform a short climb, and they should save by using the telephone in the room at the top. Once a save has been made, fans of puzzle video games should work their way to the right to reach a room with another hostile face. Players should address that face by deploying a Firecracker and then use the nearby crank to raise a platform, making it possible to climb the ladder on the right side of the room.

At the top of the ladder, players should make their way to the bottom-left corner of the room to access a secret path, which leads to the top of a small block in the room from which they just ascended. Fans can jump to a ledge that is slightly right of that block in order to access a chest with the Gorgeous Egg, and they should climb back up the ladder once that item has been collected.

Players should now exit the room to the right, grab the Map from the chest, and use the ladder that is above to exit the room. Fans of video games with pixel graphics are now in the statue room, and they should use the telephone to make another save before exiting to the left.

From the Statue Room to the Bubble Wand

Fans should now continue left until they reach a room with a chest and a series of switches. Here are the steps that players can take to reach the chest, and they will find a Match inside:

1. Use the bottom-right platform to reach the switch on the right and flip it.
2. Jump across the platforms to the switch on the left and flip it.
3. Use the platforms to reach the switch at the top and flip it.
4. Jump down to the chest.

With the Match collected, players should exit the room through the opening in the bottom-left corner and go left until they reach a room with an active fountain. To remove the barrier in that room, fans of puzzle platformers must sends the drops of water into the pillar on the left. To perform that action, players will need to use the two cranks in the room to angle the adjustable platforms appropriately, and the image that is above depicts a configuration that works.

Players should now exit through the opening in the top-left corner to reach a room that is filled with bubbles. Here, fans should ride the bubbles on the left down into the room that is below. Players should then jump to the ledge in the bottom-left corner of the room and use a secret passage on the left wall to find a chest that holds the Normal Egg.

After collecting the Normal Egg, players should continue to the left and use the bubbles to reach the ladder in the top-left corner of the room. Fans of Metroidvanias should then climb that ladder and step on the green button at the top to activate many whale fans. Players can use the air current created by those fans to hit the four buttons at the top of the room, making it possible for them to exit through the top-left corner.

Players should now continue left until they reach a telephone, which they should use to make a save. Fans should then climb down the ladder to the left of the phone, exit the room that they enter to the right, and descend the ladder in the bottom-right corner of the next room.

Players will now find themselves in a room with a series of platforms, three buttons, and a seahorse. To address this room, fans of 2D video games must situate themselves so that the seahorse creates bubbles that can be used to reach the buttons. Once all three buttons are pressed, players should use the seahorse’s bubbles to exit the room through the top-left corner, and they will find the Bubble Wand in a chest in the next room.
