ASKA: How To Get Flax & Fiber

ASKA is a survival adventure where resource collection is vital. In a game like this, survival can be quite difficult, especially when you find yourself on a deserted island with no idea where to start. Your journey begins with exploring the entire environment and looking out for crucial resources and making the best use of them. Flax is one of the main sources of Fiber in ASKA, which is essential for crafting crucial items like rope. If you are wondering how to gather it, here are the steps you can follow.

How To Get Flax In ASKA

You have two options to acquire Flax in ASKA: harvesting it directly or farming it.

Harvesting Wild Flax

To harvest Flax directly, you will need to look for its plants that are commonly located in dense forest areas. You can identify them by their white color. Each plant will give you 5 Fibers when harvested, and you collect it directly without needing any additional tools.

Farming Flax

If you are looking for a more reliable source, you can farm Flax. However, to do that, you will need to build a farm first. This requires gathering all the necessary materials and selecting a suitable location. Once you have built the farm, assign workers there to manage the Flax crops. Luckily, you can grow Flax pretty much at all times, ensuring a continuous supply of Fiber.

How To Get Fiber In ASKA

Although you can obtain Fiber directly by harvesting Flax plants, there are several other methods to acquire this resource.

Harvesting Barks & Thatches

The bark is useful for constructing new structures, but it can also be harvested into Fibers. On the other hand, Thatch can be harvested from Reeds. To craft Fiber, go to your inventory and select the resource. Hold the Shift key on your keyboard and press the left-click button on your mouse to convert the selected resource into Fiber.

Defeating Wisps

Wisps are weak enemies typically encountered near the coastline. Defeating these tiny creatures generates Fiber. Fortunately, these enemies are quite fragile and can be easily defeated by using any axe or hammer.

Assigning NPCs To Gather Fiber

As you progress in the game, you can assign NPCs to gather Fiber for you. To do this, you will need to upgrade your Woodcutter’s Hut to level 2. Once you have upgraded that, set the priority for Fiber to High, which will assign NPCs to collect Fiber on your behalf.
