Dead by Daylight Details Upcoming Castlevania Collaboration
Dead by Daylight shares various gameplay inclusions and specific details regarding the upcoming collaboration with Castlevania.
Dracula has arrived from the popular game franchise, Castlevania. This new Killer can take many forms, and this transformative ability will help him stalk his prey in The Fog as he takes on the form of either a wolf or a bat. His perks focus on slowing the speed at which the Obsession can repair generators, and interfere with any Survivors attempting to find items in chests or cleanse totems. With those perks and powers in mind, here are some builds that can help Dracula dominate in Dead By Daylight.
4 Best Dominance Perk Build
Dominate The Survivors
This may not seem like a particularly overpowered perk on its own but, when used with other perks, it can prove very useful indeed:
- Dominance: Blocks chests and totems for 4/6/8 seconds and shows the auras in white.
- Hex: Devour Hope (The Hag): Gain tokens when Survivors are rescued from a hook at least 24 meters away. At 3 tokens all Survivors suffer from the Exposed status and at 5 tokens they can be killed by hand.
- Hex: Undying (The Blight): Gives aura reading around dull totems.
- Hex: Pentimento (Artist): Gives the ability to relight cleansed totems and also slows down repairs, healing etc.
Dracula’s Dominance perk can be used to great effect when combined with Hex perks. When Survivors cleanse a totem for the first time in the match, they will notice Hex: Undying is in play. This will encourage them to keep cleansing to get rid of that pesky aura reading. As they cleanse, the Killer can quickly light totems again with Hex: Pentimento, slowing Survivor progress further. Survivors will want to keep cleansing to also remove those slowing effects. As long as the Killer is hooking Survivors, Hex: Devour Hope will be the game changer mid-game, and once Survivors realize that is the fourth perk, it will be too late.

3 Best Hex: Wretched Fate Perk Build
Resigned To Their Fate
It is wretched indeed to be one of the fateful few to face the Dark Lord. This perk focuses on the Survivor marked as the Obsession and, when combined with more Hex perks and slow-down perks, can be pretty strong. Even if the Survivors are playing with friends, this build is devastating:
- Hex: Wretched Fate: Curses the Obsession with generator slow-down effects.
- Hex: Pentimento (The Artist): Gives the ability to relight cleansed totems and also slows down repairs, healing, etc.
- Hex: Undying (The Blight): Reveals the auras of Survivors near dull totems. Once another Hex perk is cleansed, another is lit and the perks are transferred.
- Hex: Haunted Ground (Spirit): When cleansed or blessed, all Survivors suffer from the Exposed status effect.
Combining these four Hex perks can leave the Survivors panicking as they try to figure out if they should cleanse or gen-rush. The Survivor marked as Obsession will already be slowed considerably by Hex: Wretched Fate, so add on top of that Hex: Pentimento, and their repairing and healing speed will move at a snail’s pace. This will prompt them to try and cleanse Wretched Fate, only to find the perks transferred to another totem thanks to Hex: Undying. That, or hey’ll cleanse Haunted Ground by mistake and expose their whole team, a conundrum that the Killer will undoubtedly revel in.
2 Best Human Greed Perk Build
Revealing All Greedy Survivors
There is nothing more satisfying than taking advantage of Human Greed. Survivors love to find and collect new items from chests, and Killers can use this to their advantage:
- Human Greed: Killer can kick open chests closed and reveal their aura in white. The unlocking speed is increased by 50% and nearby Survivor auras are revealed for 3 seconds.
- Horder (The Twins): Spawns 2 extra chests and creates a noise notification when a Survivor unlocks a chest or picks up an item nearby.
- Weave Attunement (The Lich): The aura of a Survivor is shown when they are near a dropped item.
- Franklin’s Demise (The Cannibal): Survivors drop their items when hit by the Killer’s main attack.
This build depends on the covetous nature of Survivors and their need to have a flashlight or toolbox in hand. Franklin’s is a classic perk that Survivors detest, as it hits whatever item they have out of their hand. Pair that with Weave Attunement for a perfect aura-reading build. If they pick up their item or try to get a new one from a chest, they will reveal their location thanks to Horder and Human Greed.

1 Best End Game Build
On This Episode Of ‘Just Leave’…
Dracula comes with some fantastic add-ons that shouldn’t be overlooked when creating a devastating perk build. One of the best Dracula add-ons is his Ultra Rare Alucard’s Shield which, when used with a spiteful end-game build like the one below, can cause absolute mayhem at the exit gates:
- No One Escapes Death: One dull totem is lit after the last generator is complete, causing all Survivors to suffer from the Exposed status.
- Blood Warden (Deathslinger): If a Survivor is hooked after the Exit Gates are opened, the Entity blocks Survivors from leaving.
- Remember Me (Nightmare): Increases the time it takes to unlock the gate.
- No Way Out (Trickster): Blocks the Survivor from unlocking the gate.
This classic end-game combo above is already devastating to Survivors, especially if they haven’t bothered cleansing totems. Combining all of those perks with Dracula’s Alucard’s Shield adds a whole other layer of nastiness to the proceedings. That Ultra Rare add-on spawns continuous pillars of flame inside the exit gate, harming Survivors who run through them. This extra help can mean the difference between Survivors escaping and trapping them all inside with Blood Warden.
