Highlights
- Zombies players in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 are facing frustration due to a glitch that destroys the final extraction helicopter, causing them to lose their loot and be eliminated.
- Other players have confirmed that the helicopter can be destroyed intentionally by calling down a juggernaut, making it a common tactic for trolls.
- To avoid potential exploits, some players suggest using the mission exfil method or leaving earlier to have another opportunity to escape safely. Many wonder why the helicopter can be destroyed at all since Zombies can’t blow it up.
One unlucky Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Zombies player attempts to exfil at the final helicopter, though a frustrating glitch ruins the attempt by destroying it completely. The popular Zombies mode, once a staple of Treyarch developed Call of Duty titles, has now become a core pillar for the franchise in general. The Zombies experience returned to Modern Warfare 3, though it brought with it a number of major changes from what longtime fans had been used to.
Unlike previous games, the Zombies mode in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 features a huge open map that takes inspiration from the popular DMZ game mode. By ditching the traditional round-based gameplay, players will be able to explore the map freely, with many locations and zones featuring different difficulty levels. Players can take on missions and find loot that will need to be extracted or risk being lost, which is why one particular glitch is making the lives of Zombies players much more difficult than necessary.
Modern Warfare 3 Zombies: How Does The Tombstone Work?
The Tombstone is a perk in MW3, giving players extra buffs; here’s how it works and how to use it.
A new clip of a failed extraction appeared on the Call of Duty Zombies subReddit where a user named Mitchenzo282 wanted to confirm if the issue had been experienced by others as well. Nearing the end of the round, the remaining players attempted to use the final chopper to exfil and survive with their loot. Unfortunately, while waiting for takeoff, the chopper suddenly exploded and, since it was the final one, all remaining players were eliminated, leaving those who didn’t insure their weapons or drink a Tombstone Soda prior to exfil largely frustrated at losing all the gear they had collected during the round.
Based on the responses, this isn’t a rare occurrence, with others indicating that the helicopter can be destroyed by another player calling down a juggernaut on top of it. The exploit could have been an accident, though for many leaving comments, this is apparently a common tactic for trolls, especially at the final chopper location. Many have indicated it has become very risky to exfil at the final location, as leaving earlier gives players another opportunity to safely escape, while others mentioned CoD Zombies players should use the mission exfil method to avoid any potential exploits. Regardless, most wonder why the helicopter can be destroyed at all considering the Zombies can’t blow it up anyway.
While fans continue to wait for a potential solution to this frustrating problem, another Zombies player is attempting to make life a little bit easier during a match. During Modern Warfare 3 Zombies, players can take on contracts similar to Warzone and DMZ including escorting a VIP, defending an area from enemies, and much more. For solo players attempting to complete the more difficult Tier 3 Contracts in Zombies, one user has put together a guide showing how best to finish each one in the easiest way possible.
