With Dead by Daylight’s first non-licensed science-fiction horror Chapter comes a disturbing new Killer with a powerful and omniscient power. End Transmission introduces players to The Singularity, a malformed fusion of Artificial Intelligence given sentience by alien life.

This formidable foe can shoot Biopods around the map to keep track of Survivors while infecting them with a Temporal Slipstream, which, when active, will allow the Singularity to close a great deal of distance and enter a heightened state of strength. With this unique and skill-dependent power, players will need to pair this new killer with a strong build in Dead by Daylight.

This guide will show players the best builds for The Singularity, including both teachable and non-teachable perks for players with a variety of experience in Dead by Daylight.

Dead by Daylight: Best Builds for The Singularity

With Stranger Things’ return to Dead by Daylight, general perks like Jolt and Fearmonger have returned to being The Demogorgon’s character-specific perks. This updated guide adjusts The Singularity’s Best Non-Teachable Build to no longer include The Demogorgon’s perks, so it can better help players without access to the Stranger Things DLC.

The Singularity: Best Non-Teachable Build (2023)

dead by daylight the singularity best non-teachable build

This build, aimed at players with fewer perks in their inventory, allows The Singularity to passively slow down generator and healing speeds until a lethal endgame, all the while remaining knowledgeable on the whereabouts of nearby Survivors. Sloppy Butcher will slow healing as Machine Learning gives players some stealth, and once all generators are powered, Survivors are left exposed by Hex: No One Escapes Death.

Furthermore, since The Singularity can examine his surroundings and guard generators with well-placed Biopods, Bitter Murmer will help in knowing what generators Survivors are working on.

  • Machine Learning (The Singularity) – After kicking a generator, Machine Learning activates. Once that generator is completed, become Undetectable and gain 10% Haste for 30 seconds. This effect applies to the last generator damaged.
  • Sloppy Butcher (General Perk) – Basic attacks cause the Mangled and Hemorrhage status ailments, slowing down healing by 25% and regressing healing progress when left unfinished.
  • Hex: No One Escapes Death (General Perk) – After the final generator is completed, all survivors suffer from the Exposed status ailment, and users gain a 4% Haste effect until the Hex Totem is cleansed
  • Bitter Murmur (General Perk) – Each time a generator is completed, the auras of Survivors within 16 meters of that generator are revealed for 5 seconds. Once the last generator is complete, all Survivors’ auras are revealed for 10 seconds.

The Singularity: Best Build (2023)

dead by daylight the singularity best build

Arguably the best build for The Singularity in Dead by Daylight combines some of the most aggressive generator slowdown perks available in the current patch. This build features the all-powerful Killer perks Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance and Pop Goes the Weasel for pressure, while Discordance allows The Singularity to keep track of quickly progressing generators. Meanwhile, Corrupt Intervention will help in the early game as the new DLC Killer sets up his web of Biopods.

  • Discordance (The Legion) – Any generators within 128 meters that are being worked on by 2 or more survivors will be highlighted in yellow.
  • Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance (The Artist) – The Killer starts with four tokens. For each different Survivor hooked on a white Scourge Hook, lose one token and explode the generator with the most progress, causing it to lose 25% of progress.
  • Pop Goes the Weasel (The Clown) – After hooking a Survivor, kicking a generator in the next 45 seconds will remove 30% of its current progression.
  • Corrupt Intervention (The Plague) – At the start of the trial, the 3 generators furthest from the killer’s starting location are blocked for 120 seconds or until the first survivor is downed.
