Skyline Valley is Fallout 76’s first-ever map expansion. With it came new quests, events, enemies, and a whole new region for players to explore. The Skyline Valley region has its own weather type, a red electrical storm. As players go through the main questline, they will learn about the storm and what effects it has on the local inhabitants.

Fallout 76: Skyline Valley’s Secret Treasure

The Secret Treasure of Skyline Valley is a hidden item in Fallout 76, and here is where you can find it.

Despite being a rather dangerous place, there are several great places for players to set up camp. From waterfalls to clifftop flatlands that offer stunning views of Skyline Valley, there are lots of fun and interesting places that players can call home.

7 A Waterfall Overlooking Camp Liberty

A Home With A Hidden Cave

Waterfall Location in Fallout 76

  • Location: Directly Northeast Of Camp Liberty

For those wanting to make a nice home with a view, the waterfall near Camp Liberty may just be the perfect place to set up shop. On top of the waterfall is a fairly large build area that is relatively flat. While there are enemies fairly close by, they are located at the bottom of the cliff and offer no real threat to the player’s CAMP.

There’s also a makeshift diving board set up next to the waterfall for those daredevils who want to take a plunge. At the base of the waterfall is a small hidden cave that can be incorporated into the player’s build.

6 A Floating Scythe

Build A Shrine For The Floating Scythe

Floating Weapon in Fallout 76

  • Location: Southeast Of Camp Liberty

There is a mysterious floating Scythe close to the map’s southern edge Southeast of Camp Liberty. There’s no explanation for this scythe, and it’s unclear whether its presence in the game was intentional or not. However, the player can place their CAMP anywhere around the scythe, making it a great place to build a shrine dedicated to the strange floating weapon.

Very rarely will enemies wander through this area, so it’s a pretty safe place to call home. The only downside of this location is the fact players may find it hard to draw in visitors due to how remote the area is.

5 A Picturesque Battleground

Beautiful And Deadly

Clifftop Retreat in Fallout 76

  • Location: Directly South Of South River Bridge

If the player is looking for somewhere with lots of action, then this place may just be the perfect place for them. South of South River Bridge, there’s a cliff peak overlooking a park area. It’s a lovely-looking area, but it’s action-packed.

Fallout 76: Skyline Valley’s Hidden Secret

In Skyline Valley, Fallout 76 players can take on a hidden scavenger hunt.

On both sides of the cliff, there are enemies. On one side of the cliff, players can expect to come across enemies like the Sheepsquatch or a hoard of Rad Rats. On the other side, there’s a random battle encounter trigger spot. This is a fun location with lots of firefights going on all around. Just be sure to place down a few turrets to help keep the enemies at bay.

It’s worth noting that enemies tend not to come too close to the cliff’s edge, so it’s a good idea to build any crafting benches there to avoid conflict while repairing or crafting items.

4 A Pre-Built Treehouse

A Treetop Hideout

Tree House in Fallout 76

  • Location: Directly West Of Research Site Saxony

There are lots of players out there who enjoy incorporating existing structures into their builds. For those players, this tree house might just be the perfect place to call home. The area has a two-story treehouse with a tire swing at the bottom and a radio on the top floor.

Aside from the odd stray Super Mutant, the area sees very little combat. Also, the area around the tree house is relatively clear, making it quite an easy location to build in. The rickety old tree house would look great as a center point of a forest den type of build.

3 Big Meadows Gas Well Cabin

A Forest Retreat

Hidden Cabin in Fallout 76

  • Location: Directly South Of Big Meadows Gas Well

Unlike the previous entry, the cabin located near Big Meadows Gas Well doesn’t actually have an interior that players can enter. However, with a bit of trickery, it’s possible to wedge certain CAMP items up against the door to forcibly gain access to the interior.

If the player uses foundations and staircases to create a sort of scaffold, they can turn this location into a construction site.

Also, more often than not, there’s a friendly dog that roams around the cabin, which can be quite nice to have for company. The area around the cabin is pretty flat, and there are no enemies around the cabin.

2 A Cultist Shrine

A Creepy Crypt

Cultist Shrine in Fallout 76

  • Location: South Of Research Site Saxony / Northwest Of Old Crimora Mines

Cultists, a grave, and a possible Mothman skeleton. What else could a player want? This spooky area is ideal for those wanting to build their own shrine to the occult. When the player gets close to this region, they will be confronted by a few angry Cultists. The Cultists in this area worship a skeleton that resembles the Mothman.

Fallout 76 is Still Missing One Cryptid that Finally Needs to Rear its Head

For a game that prides itself on featuring a wide array of American cryptids, Fallout 76 seems to have forgotten the most famous of the bunch.

While the player will need to set up a couple of turrets to keep the Cultists at bay, this area is a great spot to build a cryptid-inspired base.

1 Three Ponds

A View That’s Tough To Beat

Three Ponds Location in Fallout 76

  • Location: All Over Three Ponds

Despite being a pre-existing location, players are able to place their CAMPS almost anywhere around Three Ponds. It has waterfalls, lakes, and rocky clifftops, as well as incredible views of the Skyline Valley region.

While players will encounter the occasional Wendigo, this area is relatively peaceful and is a great place to call home. If the player puts down their CAMP right in the center of Three Ponds, then they can build in the lower areas as well as on the clifftops.
