Navigating the Collapsed Tube Tunnels
Fallout London‘s Main Quest has players seeking out the mysteries of the hidden laboratories found throughout London, such as the one they woke up in beneath the Shard. In order to work out what these labs are and why you were being held in one of them, you’ll need to find the other labs and investigate the organization running them.
After meeting Sebastian Gaunt, right after Fallout London‘s intro and opening quest, he’ll tell you that he found the laboratory thanks to a map the Thamesfolk gave him. He suggests that, if you need more information, you should ask them. Luckily, they live in a settlement nearby called “Thameshaven.” It’ll be marked on the map once Gaunt tells you about it, so let’s head over there and see what we can find.

Fallout London: How to Turn on and Use the Torch
While playing Fallout London, players will need to use their torch (flashlight) occasionally. Here’s how to do it.
Arriving at Thameshaven
The quest marker will guide you to a Tommy Soldier standing guard. Speak to him to learn that Thameshaven is currently barricaded shut. Apparently there’s some kind of infestation causing trouble down there and the Thamesfolk have sealed it off. Ask him how to get inside, and he’ll, after warning you that it’s a bad idea, tell you to use the rear entrance and navigate through the collapsed and flooded tube tunnels.
If you happen to have some available, you should bring Rad-X with you on this excursion to mitigate the radiation from the water. You’ll be able to get some inside once you rendeavoux with the Thamesfolk, so it’s not a huge deal if you go in without it.
Navigating the Collapsed Tube Tunnels
Once you enter the tunnels, you can break the boards on the elevator ahead and activate it to access a hidden area with a chest. After you’ve looted it, head back up the elevator and head down into the tunnels. You can head into the office up ahead to find a safe and a terminal. The terminal will provide more context on what happened in the time leading up to the tunnel’s collapse. Once you’re done in the office, the path on the left (when facing towards the office) will lead you further into the tunnels and, by extension, towards Thameshaven. Break the boards with a melee weapon and head inside.
Following the path, you’ll run into some chimes, likely part of a warning system that nobody can respond to right now. Disarm them if you like to loot the cans, then head through the door to find a small shack with a cooking station, a flare gun, and a bed. You can use this to rest if you need to, and grab some cans of beans to supplement your healing supplies. Head out the other door here and into another stretch of tunnel, turning left once the path splits and through a door.
This leads to a partially flooded section of the tube tunnels, with some glowing mushrooms at the far side. Turn right through the first available opening to get into the larger tunnel where you’ll find some trains and a small group of Radshrews. Fight off the Radshrews as you head down the train and out into another section of tunnel, and now it’s time for a dip. Head through the opening next to the second train (the one that is mostly submerged) and then turn left to find your way into a new stretch of tunnel. (There’s a leech you’ll need to kill to get through the opening, it tends to block it if you try to swim through before it’s dead)
Follow the tunnel to reach a red door, with a swarm of leeches beyond it. Take them out, then watch out for the periodic electrical bolts as you head through the room and upward. Time to meet the Thamesfolk.
Rescuing the Ferryman
After the cutscene, you should head over and speak to Rachel Hall. This gives you an opportunity to learn more about the Thamesfolk and ask about the hidden labs. Unfortunately, Rachel refuses to provide any information about the labs until the problem in Thameshaven is resolved. She lends you some Rad-X and asks you to use the elevator shaft to dive to the residential district. Before this, you should head up the ladder nearby and head left to find a small room containing a Cutethulhu doll.
With the doll in hand, head back down the ladder and climb down the ladder in the elevator shaft. After descending as far as you can without jumping, you can enter a small side-room to grab some loot. Once you’ve grabbed what you want, take a dose of Rad-X and jump into the water. Dive down and into the submerged elevator to find a safe with more loot in it, then swim back up and make your way out into the Thameshaven residential area. There are some mittenlurk spawn here, but you can kill them pretty easily.
Head up the ramp and follow the path around until you see a ladder across a gap on your left. Hop over there and climb the ladder, then head through the hole in the wall on the right to reach a room with an Armor Workbench. From here there’s only one way to go, so head through the door and follow the path until you reach a door locked by a terminal. The Ferryman is fighting leeches on the other side, so use the terminal to open the door and help him out. Once the Leeches are dead, the Ferryman will explain how to put a stop to this infestation permanently.
Stopping the Infestation
Head down the escalators and into the next part of the residential district. From here, you’ll need to head right, wading through some water and then head towards the quest marker to find somewhere to plant the explosives. You’ll have to fight some more leeches along the way, and at one point you’ll need to pass through some deep water. You should use some Rad-X to minimize the impact of the radiation from the water. Once you reach the right spot to plant the bomb, you’ll need to retreat back along the path to avoid the blast.
Once that’s done, head back to the deep water and swim through the opening on the right. Once you’re through, turn right and head up the stairs to find a weapon upgrade table (Which is particularly handy if you haven’t found a settlement yet). Use it if you need to, then take a right turn and head through the door to Thameshaven Market.
Reporting In
Once you arrive in the Market, speak with Rachel Hall again to ask about the underground labs. Seems the Ferryman knows an escapee from such a lab, which is how the Thamesfolk got their hands on the location of the lab under the Shard (where you woke up and built your character at the start of the game). Rachel will send you to talk to the Ferryman about this, and he can be found recovering in a bed over at the clinic. Ask the Ferryman about how to find Archie, the boy who escaped from one of the labs, to complete Charybdis.
