The rhythm action game from Tango Gameworks and Bethesda made waves following its debut early last year, wowing fans with its flashy artstyle and music. Hi-Fi Rush received multiple accolades at end-of-year award shows, including “Best Audio Design” at the 2023 Game Awards. Now, the game’s rumored Switch release has just received its first official rating.

With the success of Hi-Fi Rush on Xbox, the once-exclusive title has already made its way onto one of its biggest competitor’s consoles. Hi-Fi Rush saw the release of a PS5 version last month, as one of several Xbox exclusives announced to be going multi-platform. Hi-Fi Rush Switch Version Officially Rated by PEGI

As reported by MyNintendoNews, Hi-Fi Rush recently received the official content rating for its Switch version from European ratings board PEGI. Hi-Fi Rush was given a rating of PEGI 12 by the board, citing its “moderate violence” and “bad language” as the reasoning for the age restriction. The listing cites specific scenes that contributed to Hi-Fi Rush‘s PEGI 12 rating as well, including a character being put in a choke hold and citing specific bad language. Tango Gameworks and Bethesda have yet to officially announce Hi-Fi Rush‘s Switch release.


Among the various rumors surrounding Hi-Fi Rush‘s Switch version, one of the biggest is its potential debut on Nintendo’s next console. Rumors surrounding Hi-Fi Rush from earlier this year hinted that the Tango and Bethesda rhythm game may actually be launching on the Switch 2. Nintendo has yet to officially announce a “Switch 2” console, though the successor platform has been the subject of several rumors. Some early whispers about the Switch 2 also suggest that Nintendo may be planning to unveil its next console as early as this summer.

Hi-Fi Rush‘s release on Switch would bring one of 2023’s most celebrated releases to the Nintendo console as part of a new campaign from Microsoft. Xbox announced a major multi-platform push earlier this year, planning to bring several of its exclusive titles to competitor platforms.
