The Shield Break EMP is a useful item, particularly due to its ability to temporarily disable vehicles. Players can find Shield Breaker EMPs in Fortnite as floor loot or inside chest containers. Shield Break EMPs drop in stacks of two, and gamers can carry up to six per inventory slot.
Since Shield Break EMPs are a Rare-rarity item, gamers shouldn’t have too much trouble finding it while exploring loot-riddled locations. Named locations, such as Sandy Steppes, Reckless Railways, and Mount Olympus, are always great options since they a high chest concentration. However, gamers can also find them while visiting smaller locations or landmarks.
How the Shield Breaker EMP Works
The Shield Breaker EMP is particularly helpful in Fortnite Wrecked; once it’s been thrown, it explodes, damages nearby players, and disables all sorts of machines, such as vehicles and vending machines.
If the player successfully hits an enemy with the Shield Breaker EMP, it can deal up to 80 damage. However, it does not damage their health – it only affects opponents’ shields.
On top of this, Shield Breaker EMPs also disable all sorts of electronics within their radius for a total of 10 seconds. This means that with this powerful item, gamers can disable vehicles, lasers, POI flying drones, and even vending machines.
