Genshin Impact Leaks Xianyun’s Kit and Animations
Recent Genshin Impact leaks reveal many details about Xianyun, the human form of Cloud Retainer that will arrive in version 4.4.
Genshin Impact’s Xianyun’s Leaked Kit Explained
Xianyun’s Basics
From the looks of things, Xianyun appears to be a mix of plunging DPS and support character. This is incredibly interesting, especially considering that the leaks for Genshin Impact‘s Gaming were similar. With the game dropping two new plunging-focused units, players might want to look into farming artifact sets that could help with those stats. Popular sets like Shimenawa’s Reminiscence or Desert Pavilion Chronicle might be good on Xianyun, but that is subject to change.
Xianyun’s Skills
As a potential plunging DPS, it’s nice to hear that she has a bit of AOE in her plunges. This way, she isn’t losing some good chances to be good in the open world instead of just against bosses. Genshin Impact‘s Single-target DPSs have their niches, but they also have their drawbacks. Her skill appears to make her enter a state in which she can use something called Skyladder. When in this state, her normal and plunging attacks are changed to Driftcloud Waves, which makes her a crane that dives on her enemies for damage that counts as plunging damage.
Curiously, her burst appears to heal based off of her ATK. Cloud Retainer didn’t strike the community as the healing type, but since these heals are based off her ATK, players can still make her a fine sub-DPS. However, this isn’t the only thing her burst does. Strangely, her burst also looks to increase jump height similarly to Genshin Impact‘s Xiao. Her passive abilities are interesting as well:
- First Ascension Passive: Draws in enemies with a vortex when she plunges with Driftcloud Waves.
- Second Ascension Passive: Increases nearby allies plunging attacks by 170% of ATK, but the max damage added this way is 8,500.
- Third Passive: Gliding SPD boost.
Xianyun’s Constellations
Once she’s made available, there will certainly be people who want to go for her C6 as there usually is. Especially with content creators, there’s always hype around pulling for Genshin characters’ constellations. But to do so, players should be aware of what each constellation does and see if it’s worth following in the footsteps of those who can afford the expense.
Her first constellation is very simple and fairly helpful: it gives her skill an extra charge. This allows for more DPS, so this is a nice upgrade for players to get. Her C2 is a little more complicated, but also useful. When the player uses a Skyladder, she gains 20% extra ATK and increases her second ascension passive damage boost to a max of 15,300 at 306%. These numbers are still subject to change. Her C3 ups her burst and her C5 ups her skill, while her fourth constellation allows more healing when she uses a Skyladder, healing for 50/80/150% of her ATK when players use her Skyladder 1/2/3 times. And finally, her C6 increases Crit DMG with the same Skyladder uses, but now the Crit DMG buffs are 15/35/70%.
