Highlights

  • Arlecchino debuts in Genshin Impact 4.6 as a selfish hypercarry with a unique exploration skill for traversing Teyvat.
  • Players can expect an alternate sprint ability for Arlecchino triggered by a charged attack, allowing for faster traversal.
  • Ascension beyond Level 40 for Arlecchino requires materials from the new Remuria world boss in Genshin Impact 4.6.

Genshin Impact is debuting Arlecchino in Version 4.6, and the Fatui Harbinger is looking to bring a unique exploration skill to the table showcased in a recent leak. The cast of characters in Genshin Impact is diverse, with each of them having a different Element, Weapon, or hailing from a different Region of Teyvat. However, the Archons and the Harbingers have always been a special kind of subgroup – with Archons being powerful support characters, and Harbingers being selfish hypercarries. Arlecchino falls into the latter category.

Though she has been teased since the launch of Fontaine, Genshin Impact‘s Version 4.6 will add Arlecchino to the playable cast of characters. As a 5-Star Pyro Polearm who isn’t an off-fielder, she is expected to offer an alternative gameplay to Hu Tao, and the developers have sought to accomplish this by granting her an improved version of the Bond of Life mechanic. However, much like Scaramouche, Arlecchino is also expected to offer a unique exploration skill to make traversing the corners of Teyvat that much easier.

Genshin Impact Making Changes to Content Creator Test Server

As Genshin Impact’s beta testing for Version 4.6 continues, HoYoverse is making an important change to its stance on unreleased content.

Arlecchino Has An Alternate Sprint Ability in Genshin Impact

Footage of Arlecchino’s exploration mechanic was recorded by Mero, one of the most reliable sources in the Genshin Impact community, and shared on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit. It was a recent addition introduced to the Version 4.6 beta, and players can only trigger it by using a Charged Attack. Holding the button will cause Arlecchino to hover above the ground at a speed greater than Mona or Ayaka’s Alternate Sprint, and will even allow her to climb cliffs or stairs. It’s important to note that steep cliffs will still stop Arlecchino, which is where Wanderer in Genshin Impact remains undisputed.

Though players can pre-farm some Arlecchino ascension materials in Genshin Impact, she requires the new world boss from Remuria to ascend beyond Level 40. Furthermore, upgrading her talents requires materials from the new Trounce Domain, while her best-in-slot Artifact Set will be released in Version 4.6. It may be too early to tell how Arlecchino will establish herself in Genshin Impact‘s endgame meta, but Fatui Harbingers have always been a solid hypercarry option.

With Version 4.6 expected to launch on April 24, 2024, there is still ample time for players to stock up on Primogems. Though the Event Banners for Genshin Impact Version 4.6 haven’t been confirmed by the developers yet, Arlecchino is heavily rumored to be accompanied by Lyney, Baizhu, and Wanderer in an unknown order. Players who were hoping to see Furina’s rerun in Version 4.6 will likely need to wait until Version 4.7, barring any last-minute changes.
