Genshin Impact Leaks Version 5.0 World Level 9 Ascension and Rewards

Recent Genshin Impact leaks reveal the details about the World Level 9 Ascension Quest and its rewards, expected to arrive in Version 5.0. The update is set to launch in late August when the game introduces Natlan. Since Genshin Impact was released in 2020, HoYoverse has made multiple changes to the game to enhance players’ gaming experience. However, some things have so far remained unaltered, such as the World Level cap.

In Genshin Impact, when players ascend their World Level, all enemies, and bosses become harder to beat, but their rewards also increase significantly. For example, at World Level 6, players unlock Level 90 Artifact Domains, which guarantee 5-star artifacts, and at World Level 7, Weekly Bosses drop two guaranteed 5-star Talent Materials per fight. In this way, increasing the World Level is essential for faster character upgrading. The current maximum World Level available is 8, which is reached when players hit Adventure Rank 55 and lets gamers obtain one guaranteed 5-star artifact from Normal Bosses. This may change soon, though, according to recent leaks from Genshin Impact Version 5.0.

A recent post from Genshin Impact leaker Jokerverse revealed that the game will introduce World Level 9 as the new maximum. The leak shows an in-game screenshot of the rewards obtained from a new Ascension Quest, unlocked after reaching Adventure Rank 58. To date, there are only four Ascension Quests in Genshin Impact, the last one unlocked at AR 50. Moreover, prominent HoYoverse leaker HomDGCat also shared details about enemies’ increased difficulties at World Level 9. If true, players above AR 58 will fight Level 103 enemies and obtain 100 Primogems.

If the leaks turn out to be true, the rewards from World Level 9 Ascension Quest include Primogems and Acquaint Fates.

Concordantly, World Level 9 will change the Overworld Enemies’ stats to a higher difficulty.

• HP: 146.4% or 150.3%
• ATK: 126.8%
• DMG taken: 97,46% (due to increase in DEF)
• Material drop increased

According to the leak, World Level 9 will not affect Spyral Abyss enemy levels, and Talent, Weapon, Artifact Domains, and Weekly Bosses will not unlock new levels, meaning their cap will remain at Level 90. These may not be the only major addition in Version 5.0, since another Genshin Impact leak revealed an important Battle Pass update. Of course, leaks are not official information nor the final product, so players should treat them accordingly.

Several quality-of-life features have been rumored to be added in Version 5.0, like the ability to skip Floors 9 and 10 of the Spyral Abyss if players have cleared them in the previous cycle. With the imminent release of Natlan, HoYoverse is focusing greatly on improving the gameplay experience for both longtime and returning Genshin Impact players.

The Pyro Nation is dropping near the end of August, and HoYoverse has already teased the arrival of three new characters: Kinich, a Dendro Claymore; Mualani, a Hydro Catalyst; and Kachina, a Geo Polearm. Until then, players should make the most out of Genshin Impact‘s current summer event, which includes the limited-time region Simulanka, a free Kirara skin, and multiple Primogems.
