Genshin Impact Officially Reveals Clorinde’s Kit and Story

Genshin Impact has officially revealed more details about the upcoming five-star Electro user Clorinde, who is scheduled to arrive in the first part of Version 4.7. The recently held Special Program event has confirmed that she won’t be the only new roster addition in this banner cycle, as HoYoverse also announced a four-star character named Sethos who will appear on the same banner.

The two will be joined by the five-star Dendro user Alhaitham, who will receive another banner re-run. The second part of Genshin Impact 4.7 will introduce the head nurse of the Fortress of Meropide’s infirmary, Sigewinne. Even though HoYoverse usually avoids placing five-star units with the same element on the same double banner, the livestream confirmed that Sigewinne will arrive with the Hydro Archon Furina.

Genshin Impact has released an official character introduction for their new five-star character, Clorinde, who is scheduled to arrive on June 5. The main storyline previously confirmed that Clorinde is the strongest Champion Duelist in the Hydro nation. This group of elite fighters in Fontaine defends the honor of individuals on trial by accepting duel requests. Since her first appearance in the earliest Fontaine teasers, Clorinde has been one of the most anticipated characters in Genshin Impact, especially since she was featured carrying a gun. Many fans were eager to see how HoYoverse would implement a gun mechanic in her kit.

Clorinde’s Official Introduction to Genshin Impact

Her official introduction revealed that Clorinde will be a main DPS in Genshin Impact who can implement different attack strategies based on her Bond of Life. The BoL mechanic was introduced to the game with Arlecchino’s release, and it seems that many upcoming characters will rely on its various effects. Clorinde’s official splash art confirmed that she will be a new Electro Sword user.

Clorinde’s Elemental Skill effect makes her enter a special state called Night Vigil, which allows her to fire her pistol and increase her Bond of Life. She can also perform lunging sword attacks that restore her HP. If her Bond of Life is low, the shots’ damage will increase and include a piercing effect. If the BoL value is high, the AoE and damage of the lunging attack will get buffed.

Her Elemental Burst, Last Lightfall, is very simple as it allows Clorinde to increase her Bond of Life and perform an AoE Electro attack. Clorinde’s Dark Shattering Flame passive talent will increase Clorinde’s Normal Attack and Elemental Burst damage if a nearby party member triggers an Electro-related elemental reaction. Players who want to use Clorinde in their Genshin Impact team composition should probably consider this and equip Clorinde with the right supporting crew.
