8 M’s Abominations

Oddities: 32 New Radiation Abominations

In a fictional world plagued with radiation, encountering odd enemies is a hallmark of the Fallout franchise. Enemies like the Swan and Mirelurk in Fallout 4 are examples of the abominations that players experience in the Commonwealth. This mod adds around 32 new monstrosities to scare the daylight out of players.

The new abomination enemies vary from Mirelurk, Supermutant, and Nukalurk variants that match Fallout 4’s theme but on an amplified level. As for the chaotic element, the mod has the option to include UFOs, a King Kong variant, an alien, and a deadly communist robot. Players will definitely keep their RadAway consumables close at hand after witnessing all these radiation-caused monstrosities.

A patch to improve VATS on the new enemies can be found in the second link above.

7 Attack of the Lobotomites

Oddities: Four Horrifying Enemies

Taking place in a mental asylum, this mod will turn Fallout 4 into a horror game with its newly added quest. Attack of the Lobotomites adds an hour-long quest with three possible endings. Inside the mental asylum, are four humans of horror created by scientists.

To minimize spoilers, a brief description of the horrors within includes a human wearing a pig’s face, one dressed as a plague doctor, another dressed as a knight from nightmares, and the final one seeming to have a deer skull as a head.

As a reward for installing this house of horrors, the mod adds 3 full armor sets, a new trap, and around 5 unique weapons.

6 Banana Peel Mine

Oddities: An Explosive Banana Peel

Moving onto a more silly mod, Banana Peel Mine will expand the player’s weapon arsenal. Bananas are now added throughout Diamond City and can be sold by vendors. After snacking on some bananas, players will receive banana peels.

The banana peels work similarly to a mine but will cause those who walk over them to enter a ragdoll state. Players can plant banana mines on common walkways and watch from a distance as unsuspecting NPCs have their world flipped upside down.

Fans of Fallout are all too familiar with NPCs blocking a doorway and refusing to budge. Companions are the major culprits of obstructing paths and frustrating players. With this mod, players can push their loyal companions who don’t know better.

The mod adds a shove perk with four ranks. In the first rank, players can push friends, in the second, they can push anybody inside a settlement, in the third, they can push any friendly targets, and in the last level, the perk may be used during combat. The mod adds unique voice lines when pushing others, and gives different lines for shoving enemies or allies.

The R button is now designated as a shove button and will work when players are within talking range of an NPC.

If Deathclaws don’t feel fun to fight anymore, this mod will change that entirely. As the weirdest mod on this list, Deathclaw’s audio has been replaced by audio clips from Alex Jones. The almighty Deathclaws are arguably even more unsettling and each encounter is sure to be memorable and hilarious.
