While the default third-person view in Helldivers 2 is thrilling, some players may want to switch to first-person for a closer look at their targets. How to Switch to First Person in Helldivers 2

Helldivers 2, at heart, is a third-person shooter, but you can easily switch to the first-person view with the right input. It is quite a straightforward process; all you need to do is press the R3 on your PS5 controller while aiming down the sight. If you have a PC, press the middle mouse button to switch to first-person mode.

Before you switch to the first-person view, make sure to aim down the sight, otherwise the switch won’t work. But once you’ve successfully made the swap, the game remembers your choice. So, it will automatically let you enter the first-person mode in future sessions.

You have the freedom to customize your weapon settings according to your preferences in Helldivers 2. There is an option called ‘Remember Aim Mode’ which allows you to adjust how often you want to use the first-person mode. These settings include:

• OFF: Aiming always begins in third-person mode.
• Global: All weapons use the last selected aim mode.
• Per Weapon: Each weapon remembers its own last aim mode.

Players can select the Global option as it ensures all weapons have the last selected aim mode, which, in this case, is the first-person view.
