A hilarious Silent Hill 2 remake clip showed one of the enemies dancing in front of James Sunderland. Originally released in 2001, Silent Hill 2 follows James navigating the horrors of a ghost town after receiving a letter from his dead wife, Mary.




Developer Bloober Team made a number of changes to Silent Hill 2 with the remake, and one of them was improving the appearances of the different monsters that James encounters. While the game is known for the iconic Pyramid Head and Bubble Head Nurse, it also features memorable enemies like the Lying Figure, Abstract Daddy, and Mannequin.

Some observant players made a unique discovery about the mannequins that routinely appear throughout the Silent Hill 2 remake.

Despite Silent Hill 2‘s scares and dark atmosphere that players see through James’ eyes, they also find unintentionally funny moments during their playthroughs. Reddit user lexeroid shared a short clip of a Mannequin moving erratically and looking like it was dancing before attacking James in a bathroom. Shortly after, another Reddit user called chill1208 added KC and The Sunshine Band’s “Get Down Tonight” to the clip to really give it a fun vibe.

t’s unclear if the Mannequin in the clip was bugged because it didn’t seem to respond well when James was close to it, and it took a little bit of coaxing to attack him in the end. Nonetheless, many Silent Hill 2 remake fans in the comments found the dancing enemy clip funny and loved how it added a lighthearted touch to the horror game. One even said that they’d start playing “Get Down Tonight” while playing, so the game would feel less scary. Previously, one Silent Hill 2 fan said they’re willing to pay someone to sit with them to feel less scared while playing.

The story of Silent Hill 2 is depressing because of how James and other characters like Angela and Eddie are navigating and reliving their traumatic experiences in the town. Many longtime fans will always remember the scene at Lakeview Hotel’s Room 312, which features the biggest plot twist of the game, and other disturbing details that will haunt their memories. So, it’s actually refreshing to see some people having lighthearted fun with the Silent Hill 2 remake.

Following the positive reception of Silent Hill 2 remake, Bloober Team has further proven itself to be a horror game powerhouse. The studio’s work on the remake and other titles like Layers of Fear and Blair Witch has opened up more opportunities for it to develop more horror projects, such as Cronos: The New Dawn and a secret Nintendo project.
