The tension-filled hard sci-fi adventure video game, The Invincible, made its debut on November 6, 2023, and was released for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. It is a space-exploration game, set on the foreign planet of Regis III, which was created by Polish author Stanislaw Lem back in 1964.

Players take on the role of an amnesiac astrobiologist, Yasna, who wakes up stranded in a desert-like world. The Invincible follows Yasna’s journey as she attempts to rescue her teammates after their crash landing on Regis III. That said, many players are curious about how long it would take for Yasna to reunite with her crew and solve the mysteries of Regis III. Here is how long it will take for players to beat this brand-new sci-fi game.

How Long is The Invincible

The Invincible features a slower, story-focused game design, where Yasna, the protagonist, is alone for most of her journey. Much of the gameplay is based on walking, which, to be honest, is quite time-consuming. Unfortunately, there are no options to increase Yasna’s speed or fast-travel to new locations on the alien planet.

The time it takes to complete Yasna’s story in The Invincible varies based on each gamer’s individual playstyle and how thoroughly they explore the planet’s environment. It would take roughly six and a half hours for gamers to complete the main storyline in The Invincible.

For players who focus on the main story and all the extra side quests, the timeframe to complete the game would be about seven to eight hours. It may extend to about eight and a half hours for completionists, who interact with every NPC and spend more time exploring the game’s sci-fi lore.

Yet, once the lost crewmates have been discovered in the remote wilderness, players gain the chance to freely explore the visually stunning planet of Regis III and traverse its rugged terrains via the rover vehicle for as long as they want to.

Based on the player’s dialogue choices, there are several different possible ways to end the storyline. There are about six different endings to The Invincible’s gameplay. Therefore, players can replay the game as many times as they want. Regardless of what players choose, the ending sequences always feel natural and real, thanks to Starward Industries’ smart writing style. So while The Invincible isn’t a particularly long game, it is a well crafted one that fans of sci-fi games will enjoy.
