How to Unlock All of Future Trunks’ Endings in Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO

Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO players will unlock the Future Trunks saga in Episode Battle mode after completing the Future Trunks arc with Goku. For whatever reason, the developers opted to skip over the character’s involvement with everything other than the Goku Black storyline, making this one of the shortest sagas in the game. Despite this, however, Future Trunks has more possible endings than pretty much every other playable character in Episode Battle mode.

The ending that players will get is tied to their response to two choices which come in the Trunks’s Choice and To Become Strongest in the Universe… episodes. Thankfully, as is the case with most of the other big decisions in Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO, players will be able to return to these choices and explore all of the other outcomes later, making their decision somewhat inconsequential. However, as all of the Future Trunks endings in Sparking Zero have a Trophy / Achievement attached to them, completionists will likely want to unlock each one.

Although

Sparking Zero

will need to be completed on the default difficulty setting to unlock the secondary objective, players are free to switch to easy mode after completing them if they find themselves struggling with any of the episodes that follow.

Should You Choose “Return to My World” or “Stay Here and Train” in Trunks’s Choice?

Choosing “Return to my world” in Trunks’s Choice will result in players getting Future Trunks’ canon ending, which sees him return to his own timeline. If players choose “Stay here and train”, they’ll have a chance to unlock both the Inherited Pride and Embarking Toward Tomorrow endings depending on their actions in the next few episodes.

Should You Choose “Follow Vegeta” or “Stay with Gohan” in To Become Strongest in the Universe…?

Players will only gain access to the choice in To Become Strongest in the Universe… if they beat Vegeta, Piccolo, and Gohan quickly while playing on the default difficulty setting. After doing so, if they choose “Follow Vegeta”, they’ll find themselves on course for the Inherited Pride ending. If they choose “Stay with Gohan”, they’ll instead end up getting the Embarking toward Tomorrow ending.

Those having trouble beating Vegeta, Piccolo, and Gohan quickly in To Become Strongest in the Universe… may want to consider using a Dragon Orb to make the episode’s secondary objective easier. Dragon Orbs can be obtained via
a wish from Shenron
and are used by pressing the options button while on the episode select screen.

How to Unlock Future Trunks’ Canon Ending in Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO

To get Future Trunks’ canon ending, players will simply need to complete all of the regular episodes and then choose “Return to my world” in Trunks’s Choice. This ending sees Trunks return to the future timeline from which he came, where he plans to become stronger so that he can protect those who remain from any future threats that may arise.

How to Unlock Future Trunks’ Shining Hope Ending in Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO

To get Future Trunks’ Shining Hope ending, players will need to defeat Goku Black and Zamasu quickly in Twisted World. In this timeline, Trunks successfully seals Zamasu away using Master Roshi’s Evil Containment Wave technique and then works together with his father to put an end to Goku Black.

To get Future Trunks’ Inherited Pride ending, players will need to choose “Stay here and train” in Trunks’s Choice, beat Vegeta, Piccolo, and Gohan quickly in To Become Strongest in the Universe… and then choose “Go with Vegeta”. In this timeline, Trunks works with Vegeta to help Universe 7 win the Tournament of Power and then returns to his own timeline.
