LEGO Fortnite Player Recreates Helm’s Deep From Lord of the Rings

An inventive LEGO Fortnite player has shared their recreation of Helm’s Deep from The Lord of the Rings with their fellow players. Launched by Epic Games less than a month ago, LEGO Fortnite has been well-received thanks to its creative potential for players to develop their adventures from a mix of PvE, exploration, and building elements.

Breaking away from Fortnite‘s competitive battle royale environment, LEGO Fortnite is a mode that offers players a cooperative survival experience. While it’s something that many games have already done, LEGO Fortnite stands out by allowing players to create their world, grow crops, and interact with creatures out of LEGO blocks. Another standout aspect is the mode’s creation system, which players are cleverly using to bring the most varied ideas to life. A Reddit user named Crownedpepper has recreated Helm’s Deep from The Lord of the Rings in LEGO Fortnite. The clip shared by the player shows an area with two hills and a large fortress in the middle, just like the fortified gorge described in J.R.R. Tolkien’s work. The player has also recreated the Hornburg fortress, showing its sprawling walls, a tower, and a long flight of stairs leading up to the gateway. In The Lord of the Rings, Helm’s Deep is remembered for the Battle of Helm’s Deep, known as one of the most intense battles in The Lord of the Rings where the wizard Saruman’s forces were defeated.

That isn’t the only time the OP has shown LEGO Fortnite players their recreation of Helm’s Deep. As well as showing off the massive dimensions of the fortress, the player shared another clip revealing what it looks like from the inside, with high walls and long staircases. According to the player, they are creating a world based on The Lord of the Rings, and this is the second creation related to Tolkien’s novel, the first having been a reproduction of Barad-Dur, the iconic tower symbolizing Sauron’s control over Mordor.

Along with recreating Helm’s Deep and Barad-Dur, the LEGO Fortnite community has been sharing equally impressive projects such as giant Ferris wheels and functional helicopters, beautiful cities, and even a recreation of the Avengers Tower. With a player base that has already shown a great knack for using the game’s features, the future for LEGO Fortnite has even more potential, as Epic Games adds new features and improves the general experience.
