Developer NetherRealm Studios seemingly adds a secret Brutality to Mortal Kombat 1 that is available for every playable character.

A few Mortal Kombat 1 fans have discovered a fun new Brutality that seems to have been secretly added to the game. Brutality kills in Mortal Kombat 1 are some of the most satisfying ways to finish a match, and this new addition offers an exciting update to the game’s combat.




The Mortal Kombat franchise has grown a reputation for its hilariously over-the-top violence. Although the imagery in Mortal Kombat 1 can be shocking for some, the combat and extreme exaggerations have grown to be the heart of the fighting series, which has kept the franchise going strong since it began back in the 90s. Some fans have found a new secret Brutality in Mortal Kombat 1 that developer NetherRealm Studios seems to have secretly added to the game. Since the game’s launch, there have been other secret Brutalities discovered by fans, but this one is notable for being available to everyone. The secret Brutality is triggered when players deplete their opponent’s health bar with a back throw, causing the player’s character to throw the opponent like a ragdoll into the game’s camera and shattering the screen, literally breaking the fourth wall.



New Brutality Discovered in Mortal Kombat 1

Following the kill, the opponent then slides down the screen like a bug that’s been crushed against a car windshield. The new Brutality was noticed following the launch of Season 5 of Mortal Kombat 1. There was a lot of excitement around Season 5 adding Ermac as MK1 DLC, but this secret Brutality offers an extra dose of fun to the new Season. Even better, it seems as though this Brutality is available for every character to use.


With so many characters to choose from in Mortal Kombat 1, it will be exciting to try out this new Brutality with each one. Although the games can be a real gore fest for some, it’s hard to deny the fact that Mortal Kombat 1 is incredibly creative with its exaggerated violence, and this new Brutality is another great addition to the game’s addicting combat. Mortal Kombat 1 has dropped some interesting surprises since its launch, and it will be exciting to see just how many more are on the horizon.
