Now that Amirdrassil has been cleared on Mythic difficulty, World of Warcraft fans have finally discovered the stats for Fyr’alath, the Dream Render–the Legendary weapon dropped by Fyrakk. One look at this fiery new World of Warcraft weapon proves it is one of the most powerful items in the game right now.

When World of Warcraft first introduced Patch 10.2, Guardians of the Dream, it teased Fyr’alath, the Dream Render–a new two-handed Legendary axe dropped by Fyrakk in the Amirdrassil raid. This fiery weapon was the centerpiece in a recent World of Warcraft cinematics, where Fyrakk used it to open a portal into the Emerald Dream and begin his invasion.

The Unwritten Rules of World of Warcraft Explained

There are a few unofficial nuances to playing World of Warcraft, many of which new players might not be aware of and could miss out on.

Recently, the race to world first for Mythic Amirdrassil ended with Echo winning one of the closest contests in World of Warcraft history. The battle was so exciting that the players nearly forgot about the boss’ loot. When the dust had cleared, Meeres was the lucky player who acquired Fyr’alath, the Dream Render–but trying to equip it wreathed the Echo raider in shadowflame and began the questline required to wield it safely. Meeres captured the moment on his Twitch, where he is streaming his progress towards finishing the world’s first Fyr’alath. That said, Wowhead has already datamined the full stats for the Legendary axe, which has both a potent passive ability and a unique active one.

Fyr’alath, the Dream Render Stats

  • Two-Handed Axe, Item Level 500, 782.6 DPS
  • +1,040 Strength, +4,524 Stamina, +400 Critical Strike, +676 Haste
  • Active Ability: Unleash the Rage of Fyr’alath to charge towards your target and swing repeatedly, dealing Shadowflame damage over 3 seconds to all who would stand in your way (2 minute cooldown).
  • Passive Ability: Your attacks apply Mark of Fyr’alath, dealing Shadowflame damage over 15 seconds. Upon activation, Fyr’alath draws in the flames from all marks to increase its damage by 10%.

The quest weapon is currently only dropped from the Mythic difficulty of Fyrakk, but like Nasz’uro, the Unbound Legacy Legendary from WoW Patch 10.1, it seems likely that Fyr’alath will be made to drop at a lower chance on easier difficulties now that it has been obtained once. If it does, World of Warcraft players might be able to get this weapon on Normal or Heroic as early as November 28.

Even if they do, they will still have to complete the accompanying crafting quest after obtaining the weapon. The quest requires players to grind the Superbloom world event and farm materials to craft three components in order to safely handle Fyr’alath. Players will have to wait for Merees to finish the quest to see if it changes the game world–or creates another legendary World of Warcraft meme–like Nasz’uro did.
