6 Monkey D. Family

Very Fragmented In Comparison To Others

Luffy and Garp One Piece

The Monkey D. family is the most iconic family in One Piece. All three known members of the family are extremely famous. Monkey D. Garp was the most popular Marine in the series. He played a crucial role in the God Valley Incident, which earned him the title of Hero of the Marines. However, Garp could not make his son or his grandson walk down the same path.

Monkey D. Dragon became a Revolutionary and abandoned Luffy for the sake of his own goal. Due to this reason, Luffy also doesn’t seem to have any interest in his father or his whereabouts. While the Monkey D. family is not obnoxious, they are rather disjointed. Luffy and Garp do care about one another, but they don’t interfere in each other’s affairs.

5 Donquixote Family

Made One Bad Decision After Another

Luffy and the gang have come up against some incredibly dastardly villains but these fearsome foes stand above the rest.

Donquixote Homing, one of the descendants, decided to move away from Marijoa and live a normal life elsewhere. Homing believed that he was a human and that he should live among the rest. However, he had no idea that the regular folk absolutely despised the Celestial Dragons. When Homing’s family arrived at their destination, they were harassed by the people. They were left with no food, so Doflamingo and Rosinante had to steal. Amidst all the chaos, Homing’s wife passed away, which sent Doflamingo over the edge. Due to Trebol’s influence and his own malice, Doflamingo decided to kill Homing. This particular example shows that even when a person might be aiming to do good, it can backfire spectacularly and ruin an entire family.

4 Sabo’s Family

The Parents Didn’t Care About Their Child

Sabo was the son of Didit and Outlook III. Sabo was a free-spirited individual who liked to go out and have fun with his brothers, Luffy and Ace. However, his parents were against Sabo playing with Ace and Luffy. They believed that a person of royal descent should not mingle with the common people.

Sabo’s family went to great lengths to keep him locked in the house away from his friends. It reached the point where Sabo’s parents tried to kill his friends. When they felt that Sabo was slipping from their grasp, they decided to adopt a new kid, Sterry. They knew that if Sabo failed to live up to their expectations, they could rely on Sterry.

3 Vinsmoke Family

Were Led By An Inhuman Man

One Piece Germa Vinsmoke Family

The Vinsmoke family has a strong case for being the most terrible family in One Piece. They are the rulers of the Germa Kingdom, and they also have complete authority over the armies. The Vinsmoke family consists of Judge, Reiju, Ichiji, Niji, and Yonji. Sanji was also a prince of the Germa Kingdom, but he wanted to keep no ties with the heinous family at all.

Vinsmoke Judge experimented on his own children in the hopes of turning them into genetic soldiers. All of his children, except for Sanji, showed their powers when they were still rather young. This led to the entire family bullying Sanji, who was kind and gentle. He would cook for his mother and some small animals. Judge did not like Sanji’s behavior, so he put him behind bars and hid his face with a mask. Even though he was his father, Judge did not care about Sanji. Ultimately, Sanji ran away and started a new life. However, Judge tracked him down and coerced him into marrying Charlotte Pudding, one of the many children of Big Mom. Despite how they treated him, Sanji still saved their lives from the Big Mom Pirates.

2 Charlotte Family

Big Mom Openly Killed Her Children

1 Charlotte Linlin and Chiffon in the midst of an argument in the One Piece anime

The Charlotte family is without a doubt the worst family in One Piece. They are led by Charlotte Linlin, one of the Four Emperors of the Sea. Since, she did not trust anyone else, Linlin decided to form a crew that consisted mainly of her children. While it seemed like a great idea on the surface, it soon became clear that wasn’t the case.

Charlotte Linlin would often go on rampages, during which she would become completely blind to whether the person before her was a friend or a foe. This resulted in her killing her own flesh and blood multiple times. Additionally, some of the members of the Charlotte family would follow their mother even when she took questionable decisions.
