Logia-type Devil Fruits are the rarest type found in One Piece. Due to this reason, only a handful of characters have gotten their hands on a Logia-type Devil Fruit. Most of these Devil Fruits grant an individual the power of an element. So far, fans have seen only a handful of Logia-type Devil Fruits, and most of them are extremely powerful.

Like with every Devil Fruit the power of a Logia-type depends on the user. If they are smart, they can utilize their powers without any problems and defeat their opponents. With that in mind, here are the strongest Logia-type Devil Fruit users in One Piece.

Since most Logia-types are based on naturally occurring elements, they have certain weaknesses. For instance, lightning is weak to rubber, so a person with the power of the latter can cause all kinds of problems for the individual with the lightning Logia. With that in mind, the list has been updated with the weaknesses of the Logia-types.

8 Enel

Terrorized Skypiea With His Powers

Enel was the main antagonist of the Skypiea arc. He traveled to the island after destroying his homeland. Enel was accompanied by his priests, who supported him in his genocide. He possessed the Guro Guro no Mi, which gave him complete power over thunder. Enel used his power to punish anyone who dared to question his authority. Since he had control over such a powerful element, his attacks were very potent.

Enel combined it with his Observation Haki to monitor everything that was going on in Skypiea. Due to this reason, the natives of the island believed that Enel was truly a god who was capable of reading their thoughts. Enel did not have Busoshoku Haki, which is why he is not considered as strong as some of the other Logia-type users.

Weakness: Enel’s Goro Goro no Mi is weak to rubber, which is a great insulator. No matter how potent the attacks Enel used against Luffy, none of them worked. Enel’s Observation Haki did buy him some time, but in the end, it only delayed his inevitable defeat. If Enel had Armament Haki then it is possible the outcome would have been different.

7 Crocodile

Crocodile is a member of the Cross Guild, which is considered to be the biggest nemesis of the Marines. The organization came into existence after the Shichibukai system was abolished. Crocodile possesses the Suna Suna no Mi, which gives him power over sand.

The Devil Fruit can be used to drain moisture from the body of an individual, leaving them severely dehydrated and on the cusp of death. However, the Devil Fruit is weak to water or any liquid, for that matter. Crocodile hasn’t quite figured out a solution to this problem, so he sits on the lower end of the spectrum.

Weakness: Crocodile’s weakness is liquid. In the Alabasta arc, fans saw how Luffy was able to damage the experienced pirate by using water. In their final fight, Luffy used his own blood to bypass Crocodile’s sand powers. This is a very big weakness for a pirate, especially considering they spend most of their time at sea. Thankfully, Crocodile can use two types of Haki, so he can limit the damage to a certain extent.

6 Ryokugyu

Ryokugyu joined the Marines after the Paramount War. He was chosen via the World Military Draft to become one of the two new Admirals. Ryokugyu ate the Mori Mori no Mi, which allows him to create and control plant life at will.

Ryokugyu can create all sorts of plants, which can be extremely useful in fights. While plants are weak to fire, Ryokugyu has trained a lot to make sure that they are resilient to fire-based attacks. There is no doubt that Ryokugyu is one of the strongest Logia-type Devil Fruit users in One Piece.

Weakness: Ryokugyu’s natural enemy is fire. While he is somewhat immune to flames, a potent attack can hurt him. If he were to cross paths with the user of the Mera Mera no Mi, Ryokugyu would have absolutely no chance of winning. As the Magu Magu no Mi is superior to the Mera Mera no Mi, it is safe to say that Ryokugyu would not survive the encounter.

5 Sabo

Sabo is the chief of staff of the Revolutionary Army. Despite being so young, he is respected by everyone. Sabo rose through the ranks without a Devil Fruit, but he finally got his hands on one in the Dressrosa arc, where he ate the Mera Mera no Mi, which originally belonged to Ace.

It took him a while to get the hang of the power, but he still managed to use it to stop Fujitora from interfering with Luffy’s fight. Sabo has not received much screen time, but it is plausible to assume that he is among the strongest Logia-type Devil Fruit users.

Weakness: Sabo’s Mera Mera no Mi is inferior to Akainu’s Magu Magu no Mi. Since magma is hotter than fire, Sabo would be at a significant disadvantage while fighting Akainu. Furthermore, the Mera Mera no Mi doesn’t seem to be very effective against the Hie Hie no Mi.

4 Kuzan

Kuzan left the Marines after losing the battle against Akainu. It is possible that he couldn’t fathom working under Akainu, so he decided it was better to leave. Kuzan has the Hie Hie no Mi, which enables him to manipulate ice.

Kuzan played a pivotal role in the Marineford arc, where he froze the giant tidal waves with his Devil Fruit. Without Kuzan, the Marines would have most likely lost the war, and the island would have been destroyed. His biggest achievement is defeating Garp in a fight.

Weakness: So far, Kuzan has shown that his Hie Hie no Mi is weak to magma and tremors. The Magu Magu no Mi can easily melt through Kuzan’s ice. While the Gura Gura no Mi can break any structure created by Kuzan. In order to mask these weaknesses, Kuzan has trained his physical abilities a lot.

3 Kizaru

Kizaru is a Marine Admiral who has been part of the organization for several decades. He comes off as the least motivated Marine, but he can change the entire mood in the blink of an eye. Kizaru possesses the Pika Pika no Mi, which allows him to create and control light at will. Kizaru can use his Devil Fruit for both fighting and traveling.

When it comes to fighting, Kizaru can create a light sword to fight his enemies. He can also launch several light beams that cause widespread damage. Kizaru has used his Devil Fruit to fight the likes of Whitebeard, Rayleigh, Sentomaru, and Luffy.

Weakness: Kizaru possesses an extremely powerful Devil Fruit, so it’s not surprising that it hardly has any weaknesses. The Admiral has the power of light, so it is plausible to assume that Blackbeard’s Yami Yami no Mi is its natural enemy.

2 Akainu

Akainu is the current Fleet Admiral of the Marines. He is a dangerous man who follows Absolute Justice. Akainu is obsessed with eradicating evil, for which he is willing to go to great lengths. Aside from his monstrous Haki, Akainu also has access to the Magu Magu no Mi.

The Devil Fruit gives him complete dominion over magma. Using its power, Akainu was able to punch a hole through Ace’s chest. He was also able to put up a respectable fight against Whitebeard. However, his biggest achievement was defeating Kuzan in a fierce battle that lasted for several days.

Weakness: Akainu has not shown any elemental weakness in the series so far. But it is worth noting that he failed to overwhelm Marco’s blue flames. The best way to counter the Fleet Admiral’s power is by using Seastone against him.

1 Blackbeard

Blackbeard is one of the Four Emperors of the Sea. He is endowed with the power of the Yami Yami no Mi. He stole the Devil Fruit from his comrade Thatch and immediately consumed it. The Devil Fruit allows him to control darkness at will. He can create a pool of darkness that can engulf an entire town with ease.

It can also be used to nullify the powers of others, which makes it one of the most overpowered devil fruits in the story. Blackbeard has used its power to take down the likes of Ace, Whitebeard, and Luffy. The only drawback of this power is that Blackbeard doesn’t have intangibility.

Weakness: Blackbeard’s Yami Yami no Mi is the only Devil Fruit that can nullify the powers of others. But to do so, he must make physical contact with the opponent. Another downside of the Yami Yami no Mi is its lack of intangibility. Blackbeard isn’t able to phase through the attacks like a normal Logia, but so far it hasn’t affected the Yonko too much.
