One Piece: 7 Strongest Characters Who Are No Longer Alive, Ranked
Despite being dead, the strength of these One Piece characters is talked about to this day.
Gear 5 is an absolutely incredible power that boosts Luffy’s strength tremendously and allows him to do things that would otherwise be deemed impossible. While Luffy has not fought many fights with Gear 5 right now, he has already done enough to leave the fans absolutely stunned by his incredible achievements and Feats.
Destroying Lucci In Battle
Luffy Made Quick Work Of Lucci
One of the smaller feats that Luffy has accomplished using Gear 5 is absolutely dismantling Lucci in battle. These two fought in the Egghead Island Arc of One Piece, and it was clear for the fans to see that Luffy was not acknowledging him as a threat. His strength is so far beyond that of Lucci that just a few blows from him were enough to put him down, and the fact that Zoro struggled against this beastly Cipher Pol agent so much just goes to show how strong Luffy is.
Beating Kizaru In A Weaker State
Luffy Made Quick Work Of The Marine Admiral
Defeating an Admiral is a massive feat for anyone, and the standards are no different for Luffy. Using the power of Gear 5, he fought against Kizaru in the Egghead Island, and it was clear for the fans to see that he was far superior.
In fact, Luffy wasn’t even going all out in the battle against Kizaru, and was in a weakened state to begin with. Still, he was able to fight him, and eventually, in the nick of time, defeat him, completely knocking him out of commission for 10 minutes.
Overpowering Saturn In Combat
Luffy Pushed Back Saturn On Multiple Occasions
On Egghead Island, Luffy took part in many exciting battles using the power of Gear 5, and his clash with Saturn was certainly an incredible showing of strength. Saturn is one of the Five Elders, and an individual not easily defeated by anyone. Yet, Luffy overpowered him time and again, and, towards the end, combined with Bonney to reduce him to pieces.
Thanks to his regeneration ability, Saturn survived, but, in just about every other department, Luffy absolutely destroyed him, which is an incredible feat of strength.
Taking On Both Kizaru And Saturn
Luffy Subdued Two Top Tiers All Alone
If taking on an Admiral is not enough, then, fans should consider the fact that Luffy took on not just Kizaru but also Saturn at the same time. Holding one in each of his hands, Luffy overpowered them both and turned them into paper thin pizzas.

Wielding fire is a common fictional trope, and is also seen in One Piece’s many Devil Fruits. Here are the strongest fire-based Devil Fruits so far.
He then sent them flying, which essentially put Kizaru out of the battle, while Saturn returned to fight him. Still, Luffy being able to overpower two mighty individuals at the same time just goes to show that he truly is an elite fighter in the One Piece world.
Taking Kaido’s Strongest Conqueror’s Haki Thunder Bagua
Luffy Has Top Tier Endurance
While Luffy Isn’t lacking when it comes to offensive feats, he also has some incredible feats when it comes to defense and resilience. For instance, in the battle against Kaido, he was able to tank several of his Conqueror’s Haki hits. These included techniques such as Ragnaraku, Thunder Bagua, Destroyer of Death Thunder Bagua, Thunder Bellow Bagua, and many other techniques.
It must be remembered that before Gear 5, a clean hit from these techniques was enough to kill Luffy. Now, with the power of Gear 5, Luffy was seen tanking multiple of these hits and continuing in the face of battle, despite being on his last legs.
Defeating Kaido With Island Sized Punch
Luffy Can Crush Islands
Kaido was the strongest creature in One Piece, and defeating him is a magnificent feat for anyone. In his battle against Luffy, Kaido was dominant for the vast majority of it, but, after Luffy awakened Gear 5, this battle was more even. In the end, Luffy was able to defeat Kaido by creating an island-sized fist and coating it in both Conqueror’s and Armament Haki.
Using this incredible power of Gear 5, Luffy was able to bring this fist down on Kaido, utterly decimate him in battle and potentially even kill him. This remains to be the strongest attack that fans have seen in One Piece.
Bringing Imagination To Reality
Luffy Is Limited Only By His Own Mind
By far, Luffy’s biggest feat in the story is being able to turn anything that he imagines into a reality. Luffy has the most ridiculous power to exist in the world of One Piece, and this ability is limited only by his imagination. As long as he can imagine things, he can turn them into a reality.
This is Luffy’s biggest strength and it complements his character perfectly. He has turned imagination into reality on many occasions, both on Egghead and in Wano. Undoubtedly, this is his biggest feat to date.
