Currently, Sanji is an elite pirate worth 1.032 billion berries and for a pirate would so much, utilizing amazing Haki is a given. Sanji has produced some amazing displays of Haki over the years and some of his feats are impossibly difficult for anyone else to replicate in the story.

8 Surviving Kamabakka Kingdom For 2 Years

Arc: Timeskip

Sanji was not taught Haki like Luffy Zoro. In fact, he was smart enough to figure out this ability by himself and excel in its usage greatly, all by escaping from the Okama of the Kamabakka Kingdom. Had Sanji even had a momentary lapse, he would have been defeated and been turned into an Okama himself.

The fact that he was able to survive for 2 years and emerge normally on Sabaody suggests that he was able to fight them off for two straight years, dodging every single attempt of theirs to dress him in Okama clothing, even at night when he was asleep. This means that Sanji’s Observation Haki grew so much that he could even utilize this power while asleep, and at the same time, he did not let his guard down for even a single second during the two years.

7 Detecting Viola’s Feelings

Sanji is incredible at detecting the true feelings of people around him. This is especially true when it comes to women, however, it is not only exclusive to them. For instance, Sanji was able to detect Viola’s true feelings just by looking at her tears. Even though Viola betrayed him at first, Sanji had faith in the feelings that he sensed from her, and in the end, it was revealed that Viola was in fact, truly in pain. Sanji used his Observation Haki to detect her feelings and this is certainly an amazing feat.

However, as mentioned earlier, this ability is not exclusive to women. Sanji also detected pain in Kin’emon’s voice when he first met him and that is how he was able to trust him, while all the other members of the crew did not want to help.

6 Could Detect A Woman In Danger When Luffy and Jinbe Didn’t

Sanji’s ability to detect the voice of a woman using his Haki is refined to the absolute maximum. When it comes to saving women from danger, nobody can even come close to Sanji. In fact, during the raid of Onigashima, Sanji was able to hear the voice of a woman who was about to be assaulted by someone and he rushed to rescue her immediately.

This is especially incredible when two amazing users of Observation Haki, Luffy, and Jinbe, were right next to him and could not hear anything at all. In fact, Luffy even commented on how Sanji was a better user of Observation Haki in that regard.

5 Hearing A Teardrop From A Great Distance

Arc: Punk Hazard

One of the most amazing Observation Haki feats that Sanji has produced in the story is hearing the teardrop of Tashigi filled with pain fall in Punk Hazard. Sanji was far away from Tashigi at this point and with the rest of his crew. Nobody was able to detect her pain, however, Sanji was able to feel that she was in danger.

This was especially impressive because Tashigi could not even scream or yell at this point since her voice had gone. Yet, a single teardrop falling from her eye down to the ground was enough for Sanji to sense that she was in danger and he immediately jumped to her rescue and saved her life.

4 Hearing Bonney’s Cries From A Warm Eddy

Arc: Egghead Island

In the Egghead Island arc, Sanji was able to sense Bonney when she was caught in a warm eddy. Luffy was the first one to see someone inside the eddy and this was because he was on the head of the ship where he had a better view of the eddy.

A second later, Sanji heard Bonney’s voice from inside the eddy, which is something no other member of the crew could feel. This is a clear indication of the fact that Sanji was using Observation Haki at a better level than anyone else.

3 Dodged Katakuri’s Jelly Bean

Arc: Whole Cake Island

In the Whole Cake Island arc of One Piece, Sanji showcased his amazing Haki time and again. When the Germa Assassination plot was being carried out, Pudding was to shoot Sanji, however, she broke down due to his kindness. Katakuri, using his future sight, saw that Sanji would dodge the bullet from the priest from point blank range, and as a result, he acted to prevent that from happening and took the shot himself to increase the odds of killing Sanji.

However, even though Katakuri saw the future, Sanji was still able to avoid the future that he saw, which is one of the most incredible Observation Haki feats that fans have seen in the story.

2 Can Sustain Ifrit Flames Using Armament Haki

While Observation Haki is Sanji’s forte, he is also an amazing user of Armament Haki. In fact, Sanji has the ability to sustain Ifrit Jambe on his legs with his Armament Haki and his exoskeleton. The fact is that these flames are hotter than any other flames in One Piece and they burn hotter than anything else.

Even the likes of Queen, who was a master of Armament Haki and possessed the tough exterior of an Ancient Zoan brachiosaurus could not handle the heat yet Sanji could comfortably handle it on his legs.

One of the most amazing usages of Armament Haki that Sanji has showcased came through Ifrit Jambe. While fans already know that Sanji could sustain these flames using his own Armament Haki combined with the exoskeleton, he could also showcase his superior Armament Haki while attacking Queen.

The fact that he was able to pierce his tough exterior with his flames with Ifrit Jambe, and by extension, his Armament Haki, is proof that he has trained this ability of his to the next level.
