In the meantime, one player has discovered that one of their Pals has a unique glitch that could cause issues with the game.

A Reddit user with the handle kaityl3 has posted a picture of their large Vixy with a special lucky Pal trait shown to be the size of a large tree. The post’s author goes on to explain that the Pal interacts just as it normally would, and can even be picked up, although this results in the camera performing erratically. Palworld’s Vixy is one of the smaller creatures that is found in the open-world survival game, so fans are understandably curious as to how this particular Pal reached such heights.

One Palworld mod has already drawn the attention of Nintendo’s legal department as it aimed to reskin Pals, turning them into Pokemon. After being served a DCMA takedown request, YouTuber ToastedShoes has returned with a new “legally distinct” version of the Pokemon mod for Palworld. The mod is expected to add in the real-world animals that served as inspiration for Nintendo’s pocket monsters, to circumvent another DCMA request.

With the gaming community showcasing mods like the continuously growing Vixy, Pocket Pair is celebrating the first big gaming hit of 2024. The developers are capitalizing on the overnight success of their survival game and have already released a roadmap for Palworld to ensure players remain committed to the game as it builds to its full release.
