The Crusade Insignia Talisman can be found quite early on in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. Players must thoroughly explore the Belurat Tower Settlement to find the Talisman.

It is said that the Crusade Insignia is shaped into a raised spear surrounded by flames to honor the lives of those who died in the sacred crusade led by Messmer. Unlike most Talismans in Elden Ring, the Crusade Insignia is obtained by defeating an enemy instead of finding the item hidden in a chest.

The Crusade Insignia Talisman in Shadow of the Erdtree is obtained by defeating the NPC Invader Fire Knight Queelign in Belurat Tower Settlement. Players need to explore the legacy dungeon until they reach the Small Private Altar Site of Lost Grace. It can be reached by going under the bridge where two enemies are casting spells and then turning left. Climb the stairs to find the Site of Grace.

Next, go up the stairs and turn right to find a group of shadow enemies. Defeat them to make sure they don’t follow you, then proceed forward to the large arena. Once inside, Tarnished will get invaded by Fire Knight Queelign. He mostly inflicts fire damage and has only one Flask of Crimson Tears to heal. Defeat him and you will obtain the Crusade Insignia Talisman.

Upon equipping the Crusade Insignia Talisman in Elden Ring, players will get a 15% increase in attack power after defeating an enemy for 20 seconds. This means that each time you kill any enemy, your damage will increase for a specific period. It’s important to note that the buff doesn’t activate only from killing enemies personally, but from any death that occurs in the area around Tarnished. So, if two enemies are fighting each other or one of them decides to jump off a cliff, you will still get the buff as long as you are in their vicinity.

This Talisman will be incredibly useful while trying to explore legacy dungeons or hidden caves. That’s because these areas are mostly filled with numerous enemies, ranging from easy creatures to tough mini-bosses. So, it wouldn’t hurt to get a buff after killing one of them.
