Skyrim: How to Get Blade Of Woe

Finding good weapons in Skyrim plays a key role in the life of the Dragonborn. This dagger is hands down one of the best you can find. But to get Blade Of Woe in Skyrim, you have to complete several quests.

Blade Of Woe is considered a powerful weapon due to its damage being equal to Dragonbone Dagger. However, like other named weapons, it belongs to a fairly strong character that is not easy to find.

How to Get Blade Of Woe

To get Blade Of Woe in Skyrim, you must progress through the Dark Brotherhood quests until you meet Astrid. She owns this unique weapon, and all the ways to obtain it are connected to her. Luckily, you won’t have to join Dark Brotherhood for Blade Of Woe if you don’t want to.

Before you can meet Astrid you need to complete the Innocence Lost quest. It’s quite easy to start, as you’ll often hear rumors about Aventus Aretino trying to summon the Dark Brotherhood. The boy’s house is in Windhelm, so you should go there and talk to the boy to find out about Grelod the Kind, who holds Honorhall Orphanage in Riften but also abuses children.

After this, you need to visit Grelod and kill her. Also, you don’t have to worry about the guards, as they will turn a blind eye to it. Next, return to Aventus Aretino and receive your reward. This will start the With Friends Like These… quest.

All you have to do is go to sleep in bed. You will wake up in an abandoned shack and finally meet the owner of Blade Of Woe. Astrid will offer you a test during which you will have to kill several people. At this stage, you have three options:

• You can kill people and continue the Dark Brotherhood quests. It will take time, but eventually, you will be able to obtain Blade Of Woe during one of the following quests.
• You can attack Astrid. If you are low-level, this battle will be quite hard. However, this is one of the easiest ways to get Blade Of Woe in Skyrim.
• You can steal Blade Of Woe. However, this method requires the Misdirection perk.

Blade Of Woe Stats

Blade Of Woe has a base attack of 12 and can absorb 10 points of enemy health with each hit. However, this unique dagger has few charges. And in battle with several strong enemies, the charges will quickly be used up. To avoid this, you should level up the Destruction skill or find four pieces of equipment with 25% Fortify Destruction. In this case, you will be able to absorb the health of enemies with every hit. This is hands down one of the best daggers in the game, so you should add it to your collection.
