Some unpleasant members of the gaming community are ruining the fun for others by screwing up contracts in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Zombies matches. Since launching last November, the latest iteration of the long running shooter series has received a lukewarm response from fans and critics. Despite this disappointing reception, however, the game’s zombies mode has arguably stood out as a bright spot with a Call of Duty exec claiming Modern Warfare 3’s Zombies is the highest rated “third mode” in years.

Veterans of Call of Duty and the Modern Warfare series are likely familiar with past Zombies modes and have likely been spending the past few months becoming acquainted with the new version of post-apocalyptic gameplay. This time around, Zombies mode is taking some lessons from Warzone’s DMZ, featuring larger maps, exfiltration mechanics, as well as missions and contracts to complete. The large list of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Zombies contracts is undoubtedly a big draw for many fans and keeps matches fresh and interesting over numerous playthroughs. Some trolls, however, are now setting out to spoil this element of the game for others.

Game-Breaking Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Zombies Exploit Is Giving Players Super Speed

A Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 glitch allows Zombies players to run at super high speeds, allowing users to cross the entire map in record time.

On Reddit, user SaladOfReasons has shared a video of a recent Zombies match in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 which shows another player using a grenade launcher to deliberately destroy cargo that needed to be recovered for a contract. The clip makes it very clear that this is no accident, with the player firing several rounds in a row directly at the vehicle carrying the cargo as soon as a garage door is opened. The result is that the contract fails as soon as it begins with nothing to show for the effort the other players took to get to the cargo in the first place.

Sadly, gamers tend to be familiar with trolls and griefing behavior, but this level of pettiness still managed to shock other Redditors. The comments to the post are full of criticism of these actions and speculation about why someone would do something so mean and nasty unprovoked. Some more helpful fans also chimed in with suggestions for how to prevent similar trolling in the future.

Of course, trolls and griefers are a minority in the gaming community and some players can take comfort in knowing that many of their fellow fans are kind and positive people. For example, a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Zombies player went to great lengths to save an AFK player, which shows the camaraderie and goodwill that can be found online. Still, the bad apples can often stand out and ruin a good time for everyone else when they turn up.

Between a bug that’s making cargo deliveries impossible in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Zombies for some players and trolls that are intentionally failing contracts, getting goods to where they need to go during a zombie outbreak has never been more difficult. Operators will want to be careful who they trust and how they approach cargo going forward.
