A Starfield player is sharing images and details of the beautiful location they have just discovered after spending over 700 hours exploring the universe of the game. Bethesda’s latest action RPG, and its first new IP in decades, launched last year, and gamers have been diving in to explore every nook and cranny in the months since. Given the scale of Starfield, this exploration is taking quite a lot of time.

Starfield is missing some iconic Bethesda features, but it still has the classic Bethesda-style open world with countless things to see and do. While there have been complaints about a lack of worldbuilding that makes locations feel disconnected, there still are a lot of them, and many of these places are quite interesting and awe-inspiring in their own right. Now, one Starfield fan has discovered one of these locations for the first time.

‘Bored’ Starfield Player Spends an Entire Day Clearing Venus of Asteroids

Though asteroids can yield resources in Starfield such as Iron or Water, one player decided to shoot up the asteroid field on Venus for the fun of it.

On Reddit, a gamer going by Constellation_XI shared images of a lush, plant-filled location they discovered after sinking hundreds of hours into Starfield. This hidden gem, as it turns out, is Neurodyne Botany Lab on the planet Beta Marae I. While not one of the major locations in Starfield, it does look to be a stunning side trip worth seeking out, especially for experienced fans who think they’ve already seen it all.

Exploring Neurodyne Botany Lab

The Neurodyne Botany Lab certainly appears to live up to its name, featuring a large facility full of scientific equipment that has been overrun with plants. Constellation_XI also shared that the lab is “absolutely massive” and contains some items worth grabbing. More than a few Starfield players responded to the post with surprise that the location existed and committed to checking it out themselves on their next playthrough.

That experienced fans are still finding new things in the game speaks to the sheer size of the experience Bethesda crafted. Last December, a diligent Starfield player found an intriguing location on Mars, and now another player has just discovered the botany lab on Beta Marae I. It wouldn’t be surprising if even expert gamers were finding new things next year as well.

Based on its map size, Starfield is among the biggest open-world games to date. This has given it incredible replay value for many fans and means that, for many players, there’s always something new to see or do. It may have received critiques for its worldbuilding at launch, but Starfield still promises a massive experience to anyone who decides to check it out.
