Highlights

  • Complete side quests like The Scavenger’s Story early to access lucrative rewards and unlock more quests later on in Stellar Blade.
  • Solve puzzles like the Simple Puzzle in Xion to earn Gold and Vitcoins, which can help unlock costumes for Eve.
  • Prioritize quests like Reboot and Angel of Death to unlock checkpoints, fast travel, vending machines, and new abilities like double jumping.

Stellar Blade is a fairly straightforward game for the first few hours. It’s like a 3D Metroidvania with its exploration habits and it has Soulslike combat elements too. Once players leave Eidos 7, the starting area, and get to the last city on Earth, Xion, they will unlock so many new features.

Stellar Blade: 6 Tricks To Get Overpowered Early Game

There are a few ways players can become overpowered early on in Stellar Blade. Here’s what to do to gain an edge as soon as possible.

This includes unlocking side quests in Stellar Blade through a bulletin board and NPCs. A lot of them are fairly basic in design from fetch quests to fighting enemies. As basic as they are, a few of the early ones can be quite useful thanks to lucrative rewards. Players should try to do them all as they appear, but if they’re not feeling the completionist mentality, then they should at least prioritize these seven side quests.

7 The Scavenger’s Story

Location: Wasteland

Kaya in Stellar Blade

The first shop that players can technically unlock in Stellar Blade is via vending machines at camps. The first human-guided experience will be through Kaya at her junk shop in Xion. She will also ask players to help find her sister in the Wasteland in a side quest called The Scavenger’s Story.

It’s an easy enough side quest to complete as players have to fight through a few robots and then they can collect a part from Kaya’s sister’s, Kara’s, motorcycle. The rewards are basic between the Gold and the upgrade materials. However, the reason why players should complete The Scavenger’s Story early though is that it will lead to a more lucrative side quest for Kaya later called Encounter.

6 Simple Puzzle

Location: Xion

Solving a chest puzzle in Stellar Blade

Stellar Blade’s Simple Puzzle side quest can be completed within Xion and it’s one of the few requests that will pop up on the bulletin board initially. All players have to do is go down to the lower levels of Xion where they will find a chest. It will be locked by a riddle and players have to solve this equation: 5@6@7 = ?.

Stellar Blade: 7 Tips To Master The Combat System

Stellar Blade is packed with riveting action that will keep players on their toes. Here’s how to master the game’s intricate combat system.

All players have to do is multiply the first two numbers which will get them 30, and then they have to multiply the the middle and third numbers to get 42. Adding those two up will get 72 in a sequence that will form the password: 304272. It’s a fun brain teaser and the reward will get players 1,000 Gold and 2 Vitcoins which can help unlock costumes for Eve in Stellar Blade.

5 Reboot

Location: Wasteland

Talking to a service bot in Stellar Blade

Reboot is technically a side quest although not completing it in the Wasteland would be like playing Stellar Blade on hard mode. When Eve tries to activate the first camp she sees in the Wasteland, Adam informs her that the power is out. Players then need to take Eve to a satellite tower to do some light platforming to complete the side quest.

At the top, they can rescue a service robot to complete the quest and bring power back to the Wasteland. Doing so will unlock checkpoints, fast travel, and vending machines. Players will have to do this again in a later area, the Great Desert, which is a bit harder to accomplish but also well worth it.

4 First Customer

Location: Wasteland

Kasim in Stellar Blade

First Customer can be activated in Xion by talking to a barber outside of his establishment, Gwen’s Hair Salon. This NPC, Kasim, has lost his tools in the Wasteland, so players have to do a very basic fetch quest around the same area as The Scavenger’s Story side quest.

By completing First Customer, players will unlock a method to customize Eve’s hair in Stellar Blade. From different styles to different colors, they can make Eve look drastically different. It won’t help during combat, but it’s still a nice feature to have that many players will likely want to unlock quickly,

3 Angel Of Death

Location: Xion

A random scavenger in Stellar Blade

Angel of Death is without a doubt the most useful side quest to unlock as soon as possible other than Reboot. Players can find a random NPC hurt around a back alley in Xion. When players go to investigate this NPC’s claims, they will be attacked by Scavengers resulting in a cutscene and Eve passing out.

Eve wakes up on an operating table to find Lily staring at her. To Eve’s surprise, she was stabbed in the back and was almost harvested for parts before Adam stepped in to save her. The reconstructive surgery Lily performed gave Eve a new ability. With it, players can now double jump in Stellar Blade which will make platforming a lot easier.

2 Plan to Clean the Earth

Location: Wasteland

Digger in Stellar Blade

Plan to Clean the Earth is a quest that will automatically pop up while players explore the southern region of the Wasteland. Eve and Adam will hear a distress signal which will lead them to a scrap yard. Here they will find a robot about to be crushed named Digger which is stylized as D1G-g2r.

Picking the right gear for EVE will allow Stellar Blade players to progress through the game quickly.

Saving D1G-g2r in Stellar Blade will unlock its shop and it has a lot of useful upgrade parts. Players can get materials to upgrade their sword, consumable capacity, and so much more. It’s one of the easiest ways to beef up Eve’s capabilities early on without having to find these rare materials in chests or by completing other side quests.

1 Stolen Treasure

Location: Wasteland

Talking to Lyle and Arin in Stellar Blade

Stolen Treasure is the final early side quest worth mentioning. Toward the edge of town, there is a shop run by a man named Lyle. His daughter Arin stole a statue from the store and he wants it back. Players can track her down in the Wasteland, coincidentally also within the same region as The Scavenger’s Story.

After fighting a few monsters, players can find Arin and send her back home with the statue. Doing so will unlock another store which will then lead to more costumes for Eve in Stellar Blade like the very stylish Junk Mechanic outfit.
