Lighting Or Extinguishing Pathway Torch
Throne and Liberty is full of small content that players can tackle to level up their character and explore more of what the world has to offer. These can be as extensive as a full-on quest or just collecting certain items in specific areas of the map. These are shown to players in the form of the Codex, split up into three categories:
- Adventure
- Exploration
- Collection
The Exploration tab is where the side quests can be found, including the Plain-Running Hunter.

Throne And Liberty: Tips For Picking The Best Server For You
Selecting the right Throne and Liberty server is crucial, and here are a few things new players should keep in mind.
This side quest can only be taken on once a player has unlocked the Blackhowl Plains Waypoint, just to the north of Kastleton. It’s a rather simple Throne and Liberty quest that shouldn’t take too much effort to complete. However, there are a few tricky parts to it, which is why this guide is here to help clear up any confusion.
Plain-Running Hunter Exploration Codex Guide
There are a total of three objectives that a player must complete to finish this quest, and they are as follows:
- Light or extinguish a Pathway Torch
- Help a hunter in combat with Wolves and collect the Hunter’s Reward
- Operate the Wolf Trap to protect it from Wolves and then check the Wolf Trap.
Lighting Or Extinguishing Pathway Torch
Pathway torches are not specific to just the Blackhowl Plains area of the map; they can be found everywhere around Throne and Liberty along the main roads. However, players must interact with these torches in the Blackhowl Plains section and this area isn’t as populated with them as others.
An easy solution is for players to head to the Western Campsite and look for the small house just to the northwest. In front of the house, players can find a torch either burning or extinguished. They just have to either light it or put it out to complete this objective.
How To Help A Hunter
This objective is going to require a little bit of exploration and patience on the part of the player as there isn’t a specific spot where people can find it.
As they wander around the Blackhown Plains, players need to listen for someone calling out for help. Look around, and they can see an NPC being attacked.
Once they’ve seen that, they just have to run over, fight the wolves off, and then interact with the Hunter to gain their reward for the objective to complete.
How To Set A Wolf Trap
Similar to the previous objective, this one doesn’t have one specified spot but can be found all around the Blackhowl Plains in set locations. There is one along the southern shore of the lake in the area that players can find.
Players just have to approach them and interact with them to set them up. Once they’ve done this, a pack of Wolves will attack and have to be fought off. Once all the Wolves have been killed, players just have to interact with the trap and finish the objective. This will complete the entire quest as a result.
