However, the people at Toei Animation took care of the problem by announcing a remastered version of the Fish-Man Island arc. The studio confirmed that the remastered version will have only 21 episodes, which is a very low number in comparison to the original’s 51. This is a welcome change, and One Piece fans should brace themselves for similar announcements in the future.

Reducing the number of episodes will help newer fans to watch the anime. It will make it easier for the older ones to revisit the arc and see their favorite characters in action.

Given its popularity, there is no reason for Toei Animation to abandon the strategy and remaster other arcs that have poor pacing. All these arcs have wonderful stories, but the prolonged episodes make it seem like a chore to sit through them. If Toei Animation gave them the same treatment and improved the pacing, these arcs would become more entertaining.

In November 2024, One Piece confirmed the assignment of the former Shonen Jump Editor-in-Chief as its new Media editor-in-chief. Having a dedicated head of the media means only one thing: there will be many more special events and reveals linked to One Piece.

There is a good chance that One Piece will announce a new movie project at the Jump Festa. The last movie came out in 2022, and it broke all sorts of records. Clearly, a lot of time has passed since, and fans have been itching to see another movie.

Rocks’ greed ultimately proved to be the reason for his downfall. The Rocks Pirates were beaten by the Roger Pirates and the Marines in God Valley.

The Rocks Pirates had many notable members. All of whom went on to become big-name pirates. A movie focusing on the crew’s formation and how they recruited every single member would be phenomenal. While this would be an excellent premise for a movie, it is possible that Oda might settle on a different idea.
