WWE 2K24: The Darkness and The Light - The Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels (Match 12 Walkthrough)

While WWE captures the hearts of wrestling fans around the world on a weekly basis, it’s their flagship show, Wrestlemania, that has the whole world of professional wrestling on the edge of its seat. Each year, fans are treated to a true spectacle of sports entertainment with an event that now goes for two days and includes some of the biggest rivalries and most memorable moments of the year for the sport.

In WWE 2K24, fans will be able to relive some of the greatest matches and moments of the almost 40-year history of “The Showcase Of The Immortals” with the new Wrestlemania Showcase mode, which features 21 matches spanning from Hogan vs Andre the Giant, all the way to 2023’s Reigns vs Rhodes. For those reliving the iconic bout between Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker at Wrestlemania 25, here are all the objectives you need to complete for match 12 of WWE 2K24‘s Showcase mode.

WWE 2K24 The Darkness And The Light Objectives (Match 12)

In what has been described as arguably the greatest match in the history of Wrestlemania – even the WWE as a whole – Shawn Michaels took The Undertaker to his limits in a bid to end his famous unbeaten streak at the “Grandest Stage of Them All”. As The Undertaker, you set out to keep your record intact and respond to every physical and mental attack that Michaels throws at you. For those wanting to maximize on the experience and earn all the rewards available for match 12 of the WWE 2K24 Wrestlemania Showcase, you will need to complete a total of 20 objectives. The objectives, including hints on how to check them all off, are listed below:

Objective	Requirements
Attack Michaels immediately and do some big damage!	Inflict damage on Michaels by delivering a combination of Light and Heavy grapples, along with striking and diving attacks.
A Light Combo early on will have you beginning your dominance.	Perform a striking combo on Michaels, ensuring you end the sequence with the Square/X button to make it a Light Combo.
A well-timed Float-Over Snap Suplex in the ring should have Shawn in a world of trouble!	Grab Michaels with Circle/B and press Square/X to perform a Float-Over Snap Suplex.
Now that class is in session, give Shawn a taste of the Old School!	After grabbing Michaels, press X/A and flick up on the left stick to perform Undertaker’s signature Old School move.
Get Shawn trapped in the corner and unleash 3 Corner Attacks!	Irish Whip Michaels with Circle/B and any direction with the left stick or drag him into the corner and press either Square/X or X/A to perform a Corner Attack.
Don’t let up, Shawn can attack at any moment! A Heavy Grapple should end any hopes of a comeback!	After grabbing Michaels with Circle/B, press X/A to perform a Heavy Grapple.
Now get Shawn in the northeast corner facing you, and charge full speed with a Running Corner Attack!	Irish Whip or drag Michaels into the corner, then hold L2/LT and either Square/X or X/A to perform a Running Corner Attack.
This is your yard, so keep the offense going and continue to punish Shawn!	Continue to cause damage to Michaels with striking, diving, and running attacks until the meter in the top-left corner has been filled.
I don’t think he’s learned his lesson yet, so get him back in the corner and hit 3 more Corner Attacks!	Drag or Irish Whip Michaels into the corner, then hit the X/A or Square/X button to perform a Corner Attack. Repeat this another two times.
Keep him in the corner and make him pay with the Snake Eyes + Big Boot Combo!	With Michaels in the corner, press Circle/B to grab then X/A and the left stick to perform the combo. Ensure the left stick is pointing in the opposite direction to your opponent.
Put HBK in Hell’s Gate and see if he’s got what it takes to survive!	With three Finishers stored, stand at the head of a downed Michaels and press R2/RT and X/A to perform Hell’s Gate. You can track your Finishers with the yellow bar under your name.
He survived?! Take him out of the ring and continue to put the beating on him!	Get Michaels out of the ring with a Strong Irish Whip (hold Circle/B and any direction with the left stick) or carry him with R1/RB from a grab. Once out of the ring, inflict damage until you fill the meter in the top-left corner.
When you can, take this fight to ringside by the entrance and throw a Heavy Attack Shawn’s way.	When outside the ring with Shawn on the left side of the screen (from the default camera), press the X/A button to perform a Heavy Attack.
Now set up your signature Chokeslam and bring the pain!	With a Signature stored, press R2/RT and Square/X to perform a Chokeslam. The signature meter is indicated by the blue bar under your name.
Stay in the ring and look to take Shawn on a signature Last Ride!	With a Signature stored, hold R2/RT and Square/X in front of a standing Michaels to perform the Last Ride on Michaels.
Shawn’s really hurting now, so don’t let up! More punishment will get you that victory you want!	Using a mixture of grappling, diving, and running attacks, fill the meter in the top-left corner until the objective is completed.
Head up to the top while Shawn is down and flatten him with a diving attack! It’s Wrestlemania, after all!	Climb to the top rope by either sprinting to the corner with L2/LT or approaching a corner and holding R1/RB. Press Square/X or X/A when Michaels is either grounded or standing to perform a diving attack.
He can’t take much more! Look for your Tombstone Piledriver finisher, and this one will be almost over!	With a Finisher stored, press R2/RT and X/A in front of a standing Michaels to perform a Tombstone Piledriver. This can also be done as a Charged Finisher when you are standing and your opponent is grounded.
Show HBK the darkness that’s inside you with a crushing Running Attack in the ring!	Run at Michaels with L2/LT and press either Square/X or X/A to perform a Running Attack.
Send Shawn into the southeast corner again with an Irish Whip and rattle him to the bone!	Irish Whip Michaels into the bottom-right corner. Once there, grapple with Circle/B while flicking the left stick towards your opponent.

Players who are able to replicate one of The Undertaker’s best performances of his career and complete all 20 objectives will be entitled to the rewards attached to this stage of the Wrestlemania Showcase. While the wrestlers listed below are already included in the Forty Years of Wrestlemania edition of WWE 2K24, there are still other bonuses up for grabs.

If you complete all objectives in The Darkness And The Light, you will receive:

These bonuses will be added to your main roster and can be used in other game modes throughout WWE 2K24. The arena is also available to be used in any exhibition match, so whether you want a standard one-on-one contest or something special like an Elimination Chamber match, you can pick the stipulation and play out the contest from the Wrestlemania 25 venue.
