One major downside of the Giant’s Seal is its late availability in the game. To obtain the Giant’s Seal, players must reach the Giant-Conquering Hero’s Grave in the Mountaintops of the Giants. Although the Giant-Conquering Hero’s Grave dungeon may seem to be near the starting area of the Mountaintops of the Giants on the map, the route to reach it is longer than it appears. Players must progress to the final area of the Mountaintops of the Giants to locate this dungeon.

After unlocking the Foot of the Forge grace site, which is locked just before the Fire Giant boss fight, players can begin heading towards Altus Plateau to access the Giant-Conquering Hero’s Grave. Along this path, players will encounter formidable enemies such as large dogs, trolls, and giant fingercreeps. Eventually, players will need to make a leap to reach the Giant-Conquering Hero’s Grave. The Giant-Conquering Hero’s Grave is teeming with shadow enemies, who only become vulnerable upon contact with holy light. Towards the end of the dungeon, players will confront a shadow troll guarding the entrance to the boss room. Upon defeating the troll, players should jump down to either side of the walkway to enter the basement area of the room where the troll was initially stationed. In the basement, players will encounter a Prelate enemy.

Players have the option to confront the Prelate or simply collect the Giant’s Seal and a Great Ghost Glovewort found in the room and run to exit. However, they will then have to deal with two shadow Lesser Burial Watchdog enemies, which pose another challenge. If players are low on runes, dying and teleporting back to the grace site can be a better option.

Is the Giant’s Seal good?

When compared to other Sacred Seals in Elden Ring, the Giant’s Seal doesn’t possess any pros other than boosting Fire spells belonging to Giants’ Flame and Fire Monk incantations. At 80 Faith, the Giant’s Seal has an incant scaling of 307, whereas the Erdtree Seal, another Faith-scaling Sacred Seal, boasts an incant scaling of 353. Moreover, the Erdtree Seal can be obtained earlier in comparison to the Giant’s Seal.

Players can equip the Giant’s Seal in their off-hand and utilize a Sacred Seal with higher incant scaling. The Giant’s Seal will enhance Giant’s Flame and Fire Monk spells even when it is not actively used for casting spells. Players only need to have it equipped in either hand.
