Fortnite: How to Get Holiday Presents

Just like the Fortnitemares event, Fortnite Winterfest includes its own set of items and themed cosmetics. While it’s live, players get to talk to seasonal NPCs and enjoy fun time-exclusive items and weapons, such as the Sneaky Snowmando and the Grenade Launcher. During this time, there are also quite a few presents for players to open.

Gamers will be able to open a daily present in the lobby each day they log in during the event, and the present will contain an exclusive cosmetic item. On top of this, they can also find Holiday Presents on the Battle Royale island, and these presents will grant them great loot. This guide will tell players where and how they can get Holiday Presents in Fortnite.

How to Find Holiday Present Items

Players can find two types of presents on the Battle Royale map during the Winterfest event: Presents and Holiday Presents. Unlike Presents, Holiday Presents can be found throughout the entire Fortnite island. This Legendary rarity item can be found in chests or as regular floor loot. However, this type of loot spawns at random at the start of the match, so there is no way to guarantee you’ll find it.

To open a Holiday Present in Fortnite, players will have to throw it on the ground. It’ll then spawn a giant present box, which players can break into by destroying its walls with their harvesting tool. If they throw it directly at their feet, they will find themselves inside it, so not only can it provide some cover if necessary, but it’s also a great way to ambush unsuspecting enemy players. Players will always find an Epic rarity weapon inside a Holiday Present, an item, and some gold bars.

Present Locations

While Holiday Presents can be found just about anywhere, Presents can only be obtained at specific map locations. Like Holiday Presents or Rare Chests, Presents contain an Epic rarity weapon, some ammo, and gold bars. These containers always have decent loot inside, and while unfortunately, players need to visit certain locations to find them, at least they can guarantee that they’ll find them, whereas Holiday Presents are all about luck.

There are only five locations on the map where players will be able to find Presents in Fortnite: Hazy Hillside, Ritzy Riviera, Grand Glacier, Classy Courts, and the small island northwest of Classy Courts. There are holiday trees near these locations and they are surrounded by presents, some of which glow and can be opened.
