When it comes to WarioWare: Move It, players are likely going to pretend the buttons don’t exist for a while as they play due to how the game has a very heavy focus on motion controls. By using the Joy-cons, players will be asked to strike specific poses to interact with the game, such as Crocodile, Choo Choo, Lovestruck, and more. These forms are said to come from The Voice, a god that an ancient civilization worships on Caresaway Island, the main location in WarioWare: Move It.

These poses are explained, and announced before a microgame, by a specific announcer that fans should get comfortable hearing. His voice is heard throughout the game, more than any other voice involved, including the new voice actor for Wario. Due to the fun humor of the WarioWare franchise, as well as the narrator’s deep tone in English, the juxtaposition leads to some incredibly funny moments as each of the Forms is explained with a joke. This should interest Genshin Impact fans in particular, though, because the narrator is also the voice of Zhongli.

Genshin Impact’s Zhongli is WarioWare: Move It’s Hilariously Stoic Narrator

The WarioWare: Move It Narrator is Played By Keith Silverstein

Only made to read off the specific Forms and how to remember them and their positions, the WarioWare: Move It narrator is voiced by Keith Silverstein in English. As his voice is known for being deep and commanding, Silverstein’s voice clashes against the wacky humor that the game is known for in the best way, especially as Silverstein’s voice cuts in with a very cartoony “Ba-Kaw” every time that Form, in particular, is used. When fans already know him as roles like Hawk Moth from Miraculous – Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir, Zhongli from Genshin Impact, or many others, it’s almost impossible not to laugh as such powerful and quiet characters are heard doing such ridiculously funny things.

There are other iconic voices in WarioWare: Move It than just Keith Silverstein. 9-Volt is portrayed by the voice actress of Clementine from The Walking Dead‘s game adaption, both Cricket and Orbulon are voiced by Robbie Daymond of Persona 5 and Tales of Zestiria fame, among many others. Fans may have fun looking through the cast list for some of their favorite voice actors.

Considering how much of a contrast the WarioWare: Move It narrator is to Zhongli himself, Genshin Impact fans may want to check out the game for themselves to hear the silly things he says and does. They may even want to purchase the game just to have their favorite character tell them how to stuff up someone’s nostrils with their arms in the air, stamp postcards, and other things that match with the series’ absurd humor.

WarioWare: Move It certainly had quite a lot of weight on its shoulders in the voice-acting department, much like Super Mario Bros. Wonder did before it. Thankfully, Silverstein’s hilariously stoic delivery helps take the load off for the most part, even if fans are still having trouble adjusting to games without Charles Martinet. While WarioWare: Move It certainly isn’t perfect, it delivers when it comes to the voice work and takes after WarioWare Gold in that characters are allowed to say full sentences.

That said, if any Genshin Impact players truly wish to pick up the latest WarioWare release to hear Zhongli’s voice in particular, they need to be prepared to handle the zany, motion-controlled action in WarioWare: Move It that will have them using their hands to catch rings and kissing frogs by having the Joy-con controllers next to their face. No matter how they do with the new control schemes and forms, hearing Zhongli guide the player through it may just be fun enough on its own for some players.
