All throughout the events of Unicorn Overlord, players will be conditioned to know that fighting back against the Zenorian Empire is the only way to bring peace to the lands of Fevrith. Many encounters will reveal just how evil these invaders are, through their oppression of the people and spreading chaos throughout the land. As such, once the final battle commences, it may seem natural to bring things to an end conclusively, but there is an important choice to be made. The Final Battle Against Galerius in Unicorn Overlord

After spending hours recruiting the best people for the job, restoring broken towns to their former glory, and training an army that can take on all comers, the focus will now shift towards retaking the Cornia capital. It goes without saying that players must bring their A-game when it comes to facing off against Galerius and the might of the Zenorian Empire.

Should you prevail, Prince Alain will finally have the chance to confront the evil leader that once took away the life of the Queen, and finish off his story once and for all. However, the game throws in one final choice that needs to be made.

Should You Strike Down Galerius or Emancipate His Soul in Unicorn Overlord?

With Galerius at your mercy, players must either choose to deal the final blow, or use the Ring of the Unicorn to purify his soul. For the true ending, which is the good ending, players must choose the second option.

Unicorn Overlord True/Good Ending

As Alain has done for countless others, he will use the Ring of the Unicorn to purge all evilness from Galerius’ soul, and as the dictator tries to fight back, he will be betrayed by Baltro. At this juncture, it is revealed that Alain’s mother, the Queen of Cornia, has been alive all along, controlled by evil forces and taking the form of Galerius.

Now, the attention turns to the treacherous Baltro, who will now need to be defeated in order to bring lasting peace to the people of Fevrith. Win the final battle with your powerful and advanced units, and we will finally see the hard work of the Liberation army pay off, and everyone can enjoy being free of war and strife for the first time in a long time.

Unicorn Overlord Bad Ending

Should players choose to slay Galerius instead, they will be confronted by the fact that they have just killed the Queen. As she bleeds out, Baltro will make his move and take over Alain’s body, turning him into the image of Galerius once more.

With no righteous soul to stand against such evilness, the continent of Fevrith plunges into chaos once more, and the Liberation army comes under the control of Baltro and the new Galerius.
