Rainbow Six Siege’s ‘Reputation System’ Still Has Issues, According to Ubisoft

Rainbow Six Siege’s “Reputation” system is reportedly continuing to see issues with wrongful infractions, according to a recent update from Ubisoft.

Footage of R6 Membership’s live reveal at the Manchester Major that was uploaded on Reddit showed crowd members booing and making thumbs down gestures. For a $9.99 monthly fee, or $79.99 yearly, R6 Membership will give subscribers access to the game’s battle pass, as well as other rewards. Those who enroll before June 27 will get an Epic-rarity bundle for Mozzie, 10 battle pass levels, and a Bravo pack. Anyone who subscribes between June 11 and June 18 will get an additional cosmetic set for Ash and 600 of Rainbow Six Siege‘s premium currency, R6 Credits.

In the Reddit post, users criticized R6 Membership, with one community member claiming it offered little value to players. Another user wrote they were able to understand how the service was taken from Epic Games’ popular Fortnite, but they noted that the latter title is a free to play game unlike Ubisoft’s FPS. The Standard Edition of Rainbow Six Siege, which is considered to be one of the best tactical shooters of all time, regularly goes for $19.99 on Steam and the Ubisoft Store.

Rainbow Six Siege Operation New Blood (Y9S2) Recruit Rework

The community has been more welcoming of Operation New Blood’s rework for the game’s default operator, recruit. In Rainbow Six Siege‘s next season, both attacking and defending teams will each get a new 2-speed, 2-health recruit that can carry two secondary gadgets. Striker, the attackers’ recruit, has access to the M4 assault rifle, M249 machine gun, 5.7 USG pistol, and ITA12S shotgun. Meanwhile, their defending counterpart, Sentry, can use the Commando 9, M870, C75, and Super Shorty.

In addition to introducing R6 Membership and the new recruit operators, Rainbow Six Siege‘s Operation New Blood will nerf Fenrir and Solis, two of the title’s strongest defenders. The update will also change how barbed wire will work by making the gadget inflict a small amount of damage on any enemy it comes into contact with. Y9S2 of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege is expected to deliver bug fixes and other game tweaks, as well.
