Red Dead Redemption 3 Needs To Hit The Same Emotional Notes

As of now, Red Dead Redemption 3 has yet to be confirmed by Rockstar. With GTA 6 being such a long-awaited title, it’s not likely that the studio will be announcing a new Red Dead game any time soon. Despite no official confirmation, there is still plenty of hope for Red Dead Redemption 3 to arrive sometime in the future. However, a new Red Dead Redemption has some serious hurdles when it comes to a satisfying story.

Recapturing The Magic of Red Dead Redemption 2’s Story

Red Dead Redemption 2 offered players an incredibly diverse and balanced story. The game is filled with plenty of sad and happy moments that keep players on their toes. Red Dead Redemption 2‘s story does a fantastic job of capturing the uncertainty of life, and Red Dead Redemption 3 needs to continue this standard of storytelling set by its predecessor.

Rockstar is most well known for the GTA franchise, which has a far different approach to its stories. GTA is steeped in satire and over-the-top action, but Red Dead Redemption 2 was a great reminder of just how good the studio is at crafting compelling stories in general.

Red Dead Redemption 3 Embracing High Emotions

One of the most fascinating aspects of Red Dead Redemption 2‘s story is the variety of emotions that players are put through. There are some hilariously fun moments like Arthur drunkenly trying to find Lenny in a saloon, but there are also notoriously sad moments. From Arthur’s horse dying to Arthur getting diagnosed with tuberculosis, the Red Dead Redemption games are known for containing some heart-wrenching character deaths.

Red Dead Redemption 3 Has High Story Expectations

The story of Arthur Morgan really tugged at the heartstrings of many players, and that will be difficult to replicate. If Red Dead Redemption 3 ever becomes reality, Rockstar will have to catch lightning in a bottle once again in terms of narrative. At this point, the story could go anywhere, and it should still include plenty of emotional roller coasters.

There’s nothing but mystery surrounding Red Dead Redemption 3 at this point. There’s no clear indication of who the next protagonist will be or where the game will take place. Although the future of the franchise is uncertain, it’s still clear that Red Dead Redemption 2 still moves players to this day. Wherever the series heads next, it will want to continue bringing real-life emotions and stories back into the spotlight.
