Star Wars: 10 Most Powerful Women Jedi, Ranked

Star Wars is filled with a history of great Jedi Knights, but there are fewer than there should be when it comes to truly great female warriors.

The tradition of visiting several other planets in the course of an adventure started in the original movies and continues today in video games and TV shows as well as films. Some amazing places in the Star Wars universe are great for short visits, but here are a few where it would be nice to live.

6 Naboo

The Home Of Queen Amidala

  • First Appearance: Star Wars: Episode 1 – The Phantom Menace

Even when the trade embargo was crushing the economy, the people of Naboo could still count on solid leadership and a stable government that had their best interests in mind. Aside from the political stability, it’s also a scenic planet with stunning architecture.

The design of the capital city, Theed, was based on the Spanish city of Seville, and some scenes were filmed in a real-life location. The rolling fields covered in wildflowers and the three luminous moons also make Naboo a nice place to live.

5 Tython

A Planet Strong In The Force

  • First Appearance: The Mandalorian “Chapter 14: The Tragedy”

Tython has been discussed in the movies more than it has appeared, but it has been used as a setting in modern Star Wars TV shows, such as The Mandalorian and Dr. Aphra. Gamers playing the SWtoR MMORPG can experience the wonder of Tython as a Jedi novice should they choose to play the class.

This is a wild and uninhabited planet, but for those who like temple ruins and butterflies along with a survivalist lifestyle, it’s the perfect place to live. There’s plenty of fauna and fresh water, although it’s on the chilly side in some places,

4 Yavin 4

A Small Moon With A Long And Important History

  • First Appearance: Star Wars: Episode 4 – A New Hope

The gas giant of Yavin Prime would loom in the sky most of the time, and that’s part of the unique experience that anyone would have living on Yavin 4. The era in which the Sith enslaved the local Massassi people wouldn’t be ideal, obviously, but after the Rebels moved their base to the planet and revived the infrastructure it would be a more than decent place to settle down.

Unfortunately, the Massassi people are extinct, but their buildings and settlements, along with knowledge of their farming and survival techniques on the planet, have survived. If the Rebel Alliance was able to build a whole base, a determined resident could do some homesteading and live under one of the most luscious forest canopies in the galaxy.

3 Coruscant

The Political And Economic Pulse Of The Galaxy

  • First Appearance: Star Wars: Episode 1 – The Phantom Menace

Virtually every square inch of Coruscant is covered in layers of glass, concrete, and towering metal spires, but for a person who likes city life, it would be paradise. Even when the Republic was at war, there was relatively little action on the surface of the planet, with a majority of the most devastating battles taking place in the space above.

There are some real advantages to living in the political and economic heart of the galaxy that give every resident easy access to transportation, shopping, and other amenities. It’s on the hub of every galactic trade route and has a temperate atmosphere that’s carefully controlled.

2 Bespin

Upscale Living In The Upper Atmosphere

Bespin, Star Wars

  • First Appearance: Star Wars: Episode 5 – The Empire Strikes Back (1980)

The nice thing about living on Bespin is that people don’t have to live there but in modern floating cities in the lower atmosphere. The gas giant is a constant source of Tibanna fuel, which almost everyone in the galaxy needs, and that ensures a permanently thriving economy, a high standard of living, and steady employment.

There was indeed a hiccup in production and trade during a brief period in which the Empire occupied Bespin, but even the Empire needed the fuel so the occupants and workers were left in relative safety to get on with their work. Until technology and space travel go through a dramatic change, Bespin would be a nice place to live.

1 Mon Cala

An Aquatic Paradise

Mon Calamari city Fantasy Flight Star Wars ttrpg

  • First Appearance: Star Wars: The Clone Wars – Season 4, Episode 1 “Water War”

Also known as Dac to the locals, this planet is home to the race that bears the name of their home planet, Mon Calamari, and played a key role in the war between the Empire and the Rebel Alliance. Admiral Akbar was Mon Calamari, and he was present for most of their pivotal battles, but eventually, his home planet paid a heavy price for their loyalty.

Granted, a person who lives here would have to enjoy water, but that’s easy when it’s as nice a planet as Mon Calamari. However, more than a century ABY (after the Battle of Yavin) a Sith Lord named Darth Wyyrlok used deadly spores to destroy it, and whether or not it can be restored is a matter of future Star Wars canon.
