The first mainline entry in over 15 years Visions of Mana is shaping up great, and fans have just enough time to try out the rest of the series first.

Now, Visions of Mana has recently been rated by the ESRB. The RPG received a “Teen” rating because of “Fantasy Violence” and “Suggestive Themes” due to having female characters in bikini-like outfits. This is potentially good news for fans of the Mana series, as games are normally only reviewed by rating boards when they are near their release. Also, summer is not far off, so it’s likely that an official release date for Visions of Mana could be unveiled soon.

When Will Visions of Mana Be Released?

  • Visions of Mana‘s release will be sometime during the summer, but there’s no actual release date yet.
  • However, the age rating indicates that Visions of Mana‘s release could potentially happen sooner rather than later.

It’s possible that the upcoming Mana game could appear at Xbox’s June Showcase, which will happen on June 9, especially considering Visions of Mana was featured in the Xbox Developer Direct back in January. However, gamers should tame their expectations, as no official announcements have been made.

The upcoming Visions of Mana will be a third-person semi-open action RPG in which gamers will assume the role of a hero called Val, who will join their childhood friend Hina on a journey across the world to save the Tree of Mana from a villain. The game’s trailers show a vast, bright world filled with unique monsters, and a new Elemental Vessels system, in which players can use different elements during combat and exploration.

Square Enix’s upcoming adventure in the Mana series is just one of many RPGs gamers are excited about in 2024. Later this month, gamers may also get to play Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, a remake of a fantastic Nintendo RPG originally released in 2004. Other eagerly awaited Japanese RPGs include two titles made by Atlus: Shin Megami Tensei 5: Vengeance, which will revamp SMT5 with a new story, and Metaphor: ReFantazio, which is being developed by the same team as the popular Persona series.
