A truly ranged character, Billy is a fast-shooting Physical Attack character that can stack Physical damage from a safe distance, making him a valuable tool when dealing with ranged enemies and large single targets, like bosses. Although Billy is capable of dishing out serious damage with his Ultimate ability thanks to his Additional Ability: Team Starlight, his main “gimmick” comes from his Core Skill: Steady Shot. By holding down the Basic Attack button, Billy will enter the Crouching Shot state, causing him to pepper enemies continuously with a hail of bullets. Players can control the gunslinger from this crouched position by dragging the thumbstick on controller or hitting a direction on the keyboard. Doing so will cause him to “move” towards the desired direction and re-enter the crouching state. This can be a good way to maneuver positions around the battlefield to avoid projectiles and enemy attacks while sustaining damage on the desired target.

Thanks to Core Skill: Steady Shot, whenever Billy enters the crouching state, he increases his damage by 25%. This damage buff is canceled and must be reapplied if Billy moves, returns to his normal standby state, or is knocked back or launched by an enemy attack. His Additional Ability: Team Starlight, allows him to “store charges” (up to 2) whenever executing a Chain Attack. Each charge will increase his next Ultimate attack by 50%. As it currently stands, the best overall W-Engine for Billy is the Starlight Engine Replica, thanks to its ranged-specific requirements that buff the user’s Physical Damage for 8 seconds so long as they hit a target at least 6 meters away with a Basic Attack or Dash Attack. Billy can also make use of the Street Superstar, as its effect will amplify his already powerful Additional Ability: Team Starlight. Street Superstar acts as a miniature version of this skill, adding 15% additional Ultimate damage charge each time a Chain Attack occurs. Billy has a few options for W-Drives depending on how players want to build him. Those looking to capitalize off his Additional Ability: Team Starlight, as well as the synergy with a W-Engine like Street Superstar, can opt for a 4-piece Puffer Electro. This set will increase Billy’s PEN Ratio by 8%, allowing him to ignore some enemy defense, and will also increase the strength of his Ultimate by 20%. On top of that, each time he uses his Ultimate, it will increase his attack by 15% for 12 seconds.

Those who are looking for a more traditional damage set can opt for a 4-piece Hormone Punk, which will simply increase Billy’s attack by 10% and an additional 25% for 10 seconds whenever he is swapped in for combat.
